Deal Breaker

Chapter 8

~Karmin's POV~

I feel an arm go around my shoulder and turn to see Raelynn. "What up girrrl?" she says making me laugh.

"You missed Amy grinding on Flower Bitch's man," I inform her.

"Seriously, why didn't anyone call me," she replies making me laugh again. We talk and laugh for a little while till Spencer comes up to her with a drink.

"I'll talk to you later Karmin," she smiles and walks off. I watch her and Spencer walk away into the crowd. They're so cute together.

"Karmin babe," Zayn says as he approaches me with two cups in his hands.

He hands me a cup and kisses my forehead. "Thank you," I smile and take a sip of the alcohol. I don't like to drink that much, but tonight just seems like it's going to be packed full drama.

"You look beautiful," Zayn beams at me.

"Thank you," I flush a bit.

"It was pretty funny to watch Amy grind on Flower Bitch's boyfriend," Zayn laughs.

"Yeah it was," I laugh along with him. "But I doubt he's her boyfriend, probably more like a boy toy," I say scrunching my nose up.

"Probably," he shrugs. "Hey, we should go to a room. It's kind of loud in here," he says over the booming music.

"I tried already. Ashlynn locked all the doors," I tell him. I tilt the cup back and drink the rest of it quickly.

"We can get her to unlock them, or steal the key," he shrugs.

"Good idea," I grin. "I know where she keeps it," I say grabbing his hand and pulling him along. I lead him to the kitchen and look into the vase that's on her window seel. Sure enough, it's in there. I reach inside and pull it out.

"Look at you, being a thief and stuff," he grins. I love the way his tongue pushes against his teeth, and his eyes light up. "It's adorable."

I smile and grab another cup. I lead him to the room that Ashlynn usually lets me stay in when I stay the night. I put the key in the lock and turn it. Thankfully, the door opens.

I turn the light on and shut the door to block out the loud music. I sit on the bed and pat the empty space for Zayn. He sits down without saying anything.

"Are you okay?" I ask him taking another sip of my drink.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"

"You just seem kind of," I bite my lip and try to think of a word, "distant."

"No, I'm fine Karmin," he shrugs, but I know he's not.

I down the rest of my drink. I can already feel the alcohol coursing through my veins. I wrap my arms around Zayn and pull myself onto his lap, straddling him.

"You know you can tell me if something is wrong," I tell him.

"I know," he says nonchalantly not looking at me. "I'll tell you later."

I roll my eyes but agree, not wanting to cause a fight.

"What do you want to do?" he asks looking into my eyes.

I gently place my lips on his, wrapping my arms around his neck. I feel his hands on my waist and he deepens our lip lock. I start moving my hips against his crotch, not really realizing what I'm doing.

"Fuck," he groans and I can feel him becoming aroused. "Karmin stop," he says moving his hands to stop my hips.

"Why?" I ask him.

"Because I know where this is going. You're drunk."

"Isn't this what you've been wanting though?" I ask.

"No, well yes of course, but not like this. I don't want to take your virginity while you're drunk, it's not right," he sighs picking me up off of his lap and putting me on the bed.

"But why?" I squeak, the alcohol speaking for me.

"You're seriously asking that question?" he snaps.

"Isn't sex what you want though?"

"I already answered that," he says standing up and pacing back and forth.

"Well I want it too, Zayn. Don't you love me?"

"Of course I do, and that's why I'm not going to have sex with you. I'd be taking advantage of the state you're in," he says softly.

"No you wouldn't, because I want it too," I say firmly.

"Yes I would, then you'd be pissed at me the next day."

"Zayn-" I start to say.

"We'll see how you feel about this when you're sober. I need some air," he snaps and walks out of the room, leaving me feeling completely embarrassed.
