Amy's POV
"Amaretto sour, please."
"May I see your I.D.?" The bartender asked me. I was sitting at the casino bar. It was pretty dead around here. I was alone because Shiloh and Amanda had just gotten married and all my friends (and their stupid boyfriends) had went to 'bed'.
"Okay, you got me. I'm not 21. Hell, I'm not even 18 yet." I sat down at one of the stools and twirled my phone in my hand.
I sat for a minute or so awkwardly while the bartender stared at me.
"Here." He handed me the drink I ordered and I looked up at him. He beamed a smile at me. "There's a multimillionaire staying here and he's got a tab open. I don't think he'll notice if there's a couple extra drinks on it."
I smiled back and took a drink. "Thanks. A lot. Lord knows I need it."
"I get off soon. Wanna talk about it then?"
I smiled and nodded my head a little. "Sure."
He served a drink to a man down the bar a ways, then his shift was over.
He came and sat next to me. "So what's going on?"
I told him about Finnick, the plan, the wedding, the parties, the street racing, Flower Bitch, the shootings, the drugs, everything.
While I relayed my high school life story, he bought me more and more drinks. When I finally finished, I was pretty shit-faced and laughing really hard.
Everything from that point was blank.

I woke up to a pounding in my head. I slowly sat up to look around where I was. I think I was still at the Bellagio in Vegas.
I sat up fully and heard a jingling on my wrist. I looked down to see a handcuff attached to my wrist, the other one dangling off of it. I was wondering if I got into some crazy role play shit the night before, when I realized they were real.
I think that was the first point when I really began to question where I was and what happened.
I glanced at my left wrist again to look at the cuffs, when I noticed something on my hand. My ring finger to be exact.
I watched the diamond shine for a second before I swung my legs off the bed and looked around more. I definitely wasn't at the Bellagio anymore.
I took in the sight around me. There were feathers all over and a few people sleeping on the floor. The room was either covered in flour or cocaine. On the side table beside me, there were two ibuprofens and a glass of water. The note that sat beside it read: 'Here Mrs. Donter, for the headache. Love you babe. -Your Husband<3'
I looked up from the note just in time to see a flamingo walk out of the bathroom and glance at me.
I heard a phone begin to vibrate and I looked around for it, finally finding it it in the bathtub, in the hands of another drunk guy.
I pried it out of his hands and looked at it. It was Lawrence. I answered.
"Hello?" I said slowly, every sound and movement I made making my head pound a little more.
"Oh my God guys! She answered! Where are you Amy?"
"Lawrence! Shut. The. Fuck. Up." I was about to answer his question when I realized that I really didn't know where I was. I couldn't be far from Vegas, right?
"Amy! I swear! It's always you who ends up missing!"
I slipped out of the door, my phone still against my ear, and followed the signs to the lobby, ignoring Lawrence's yelling.
I realized that the handcuffs looked suspicious, so I shoved my hand in the pocket of the overgrown sweater I was sporting. Well that's another thing that I don't remember, this damn sweater.
When I got to the lobby, I was getting ready to ask where I was, but got distracted by a shelf full of brochures.
I walked over to them and picked up the one on top. The title read 'Welcome to Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada!'
Oh shit.

I walked back to the room and went inside.
"Amy? Where the hell are you? We'll come pick you up."
"Are you sure? It's kind of a long drive."
"Amy. Where are you? Are you at a different hotel now?"
"Umm... Yeah. You could say that."
"Where are you Amy?! Are you okay? We're coming to get you."
"No!" I said, a little too quickly. "Um.. I'll catch a ride with my husban- uh friend."
Suddenly Karmin was on the line. She sounded nervous. "Amy? Is Zayn there with you?"
I looked at the peoples faces on the floor. "N-"
"Amy? Come on. It's time to go home." Zayn walked through the door to the hotel room.
"U-u-umm, you guys I gotta go."
"No! Amy wai-" I pressed the end button.
I looked up at Zayn. "W-we didn't... You know... Did we?" I held up my hand to show my ring.
He looked surprised to see me awake. "No. But I met the lad last night. Nice guy." I breathed a sigh of relief at the fact that I wasn't married to Zayn, then realized that if it wasn't him, it was some random person.
"So... Where is he?" I asked nervously.
"He's down getting coffee."
"And... Why are you here? No offense of course; I'm thanking God that there's a familiar face around here."
"Well- Karmin's going to kill me. I told her last night that I would run to get us McDonalds because she didn't want to order room service. While I was walking out of the Bellagio, I saw you with some guy at the bar. I didn't want you alone, so I went over to get you and take you to bed- you were already pissed (drunk)- but when I walked over to you, the guy offered me a shot- I promised myself just one- and I got really caught up in drinking. I got pretty shit-faced too, and I only remember bits and pieces of last night. I hope Karmin will forgive me; so much for gaining her trust back."
I looked at him with my eyes wide. "It's okay Zayn, I'll cover for you. If it weren't for me, we both would've woken up in our beds at the Bellagio this morning. I wouldn't be married, handcuffed, and there wouldn't be a wild bird in our room. Not to mention we wouldn't be in Canada."
Zayn lifted his hand up, a cuff dangling from his wrist too. "I can tell you who you're married to, and why there's feathers all over, but I can't tell you what happened with the handcuffs."
"Who am I married to?"
"His name's Brent Donter. He's really cool. I think you'll like him."
"Zayn! 'He's really cool'! I'm married to him and I didn't even know his name until half a minute ago!"
"Calm your tits Amy! It'll be fine! It'll all turn out okay! Plus you knew his name last night. The whole hotel heard that." He started laughing.
I started blushing. "Fine. Do you know why exactly we're in Canada?"
"You see, we uh... No."
"Well, you said it yourself that it's time to go home. How're we doing that?" That was the question. Well one of the multiple questions.
"Oh! Yeah! Brent has a private jet. He said he'll fly us wherever."
My eyes flew open, along with my mouth, and my head snapped up to look at Zayn. "Are you telling me that my husband is rich?!"
At that moment, someone walked through the door. The only indicator that it was Brent was the coffee tray he held. "Filthy stinkin' rich." He said.
Wait. I recognized that voice. Was that... The bartender?
"Are you the bartender from the Bellagio?" I asked him. He nodded and smiled. It was all fitting together now! "Oh my gosh! You were the multimillionaire with a tab open! But... Why were you a bartender last night?"
"I convinced them to let me bartend for a while. It's something I hadn't tried before." Did I forget to mention last night that he had a sexy Italian accent? Well he does.
"Okay. This night is a little more together now. So did we...?"
"That's what people do on their wedding nights, right?" I put my face in my hands. I can't believe that I did that with somebody I've known for less than 24 hours.
I pulled myself together. "Are we going home home or back to Vegas?"
"Why don't you call everybody and see where they are?" Zayn suggested.
I took my phone and dialed Rae.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hey Rae. Are you with the others?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Can you put me on speaker?"
I heard her phone beep. "Hey guys. I was just wondering if we should come back to Vegas, or go home?
"What do you mean 'come back to Vegas'? You're not in Vegas anymore?!" Lawrence shouted.
"What do you mean 'we'?" I hear Karmin say.
"You know what? I'm starting to think it was a bad idea to call you guys. We'll just head back to Vegas. Bye."
"AMY!" I heard right before hanging up.
"Brent, is there any way that you can take me back to Vegas, then take all of us back to Cali?"
"Anything for you. It helps that I live in Cali."
"Then let's get going."
___________________________
Around three hours later, we landed at the Vegas airport.
When we got out of the jet, there was a limo waiting for us that we quickly climbed into.
In the limo, Brent poured himself, Zayn and I a glass of champagne.
We arrived in front of the Bellagio quickly. When we got to the front desk, the lady there greeted us. "Hello and welcome back Mr. and Mrs. Donter." I blushed at the title I wasn't used to.
She handed us each a room key. "Enjoy your stay."
We went to the top floor and climbed out to the penthouse suite, Zayn trailing behind us.
As soon as I opened the door, I gasped. There were huge window walls and a giant living space. There were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area, a dining area, and a kitchen.
Zayn breaks the silence. "And here I am thinking that we got the biggest suites."
"Brent, would you like to come meet my friends? We need to let them know we're back and explain as much as we can, which isn't a whole lot."
"I'd love to meet them Amy."
"Just be careful; there may be a screaming match or two." Zayn says.
We leave our stuff in the room, then head down a floor where all the others' rooms are.
I brace myself, then let my knuckles hit the door three times.
The door opened to a pissed off looking Amanda. "I can't believe you ruined my wedding!" She jumped toward me until Shiloh grabbed her and held her.
"Apparently it wasn't just our wedding Amanda." He said while gesturing to my hand. Her face softened immediately.
"Oh my God! Amy Lyn Mjolnir! You're engaged! Did Finnick ask you?" The blood drained from my face. Finnick.
"Not exactly." Everybody looked at me questioningly. "Well why don't we get everybody in here." I stepped into the suite and let Zayn and Brent in.
Karmin looked about ready to pounce until Ashlynn put a hand on her arm. "And it's not Mjolnir anymore... It's Donter... And this," I gestured to Brent, "is Brent Donter. My errr... husband."
After what felt like days of silence, somebody finally spoke. "So if you two are married, why was Zayn with you?" I think that was Karmin.
"You see, that's the problem. We got so wasted last night, we can't remember very much. Including this." Zayn and I held up our still-cuffed hands.
"Well we all remember bits so why don't we try to put it together." Brent suggested.
Karmin started."Zayn left to get us McDonalds and didn't come back. That's all I know."
Zayn came in next. "I saw Amy and wanted to get her to bed. I started drinking, then drank more and more and ended up drunk. I remember a tiny bit of the wedding; Amy was twerking down the aisle in an extremely short dress." Everybody looked at me and I shrugged. "Sometime later- back at the hotel- we were having a giant pillow fight. That's all I remember."
"I don't remember anything." I shrugged again. "But I do have a question. How old are you Brent?"
We all looked at Brent. "Just turned 21. Anyway, last night after we got wasted, one of you thought it was a good idea to sneak into the zoo and try to ride a flamingo. When the guards caught us, you picked it up and ran with it."
I looked at Zayn and said, "That explains the flamingo in our room."
Brent continued. "We were driving around and got pulled over. We were getting cuffed and the flamingo distracted the officer. We got away from that. After that pillow fight we had a huge party. The thing I don't remember is how we got to Steinbach, Canada."
"Wait a damn second! You were in Canada?!" Lawrence yelled.
Just then, there was a knock at the door. I stood up and walked to it. I opened it and got a huge shock. Finnick standing there with a huge bouquet of red roses.
"The plan's already done. You told me to come here if it got done early, so here I am." He smiled widely and leaned down to kiss my cheek. His shadow moved away from my body and my ring caught light.
His grin faded and he looked into my eyes. "Amy. What's that?" His calm voice scared me more than anything.
I turned around to look at everyone. They looked at me and shrugged. Now I had to face my big brother and my boyfriend. I turned back around and looked at Finnick.
"I can explain."
Amy seems to have gotten herself into a tad bit of trouble...
How's Finnick going to take this?
My fellow co-authors have decided to take this week off so we will see you in a week!
Hope you enjoyed the chapter!
Merry Christmas! (If you celebrate it.)
