The whole room falls silent when they see Seth and I, their eyes wide and shocked. Seth momentarily freezes behind me, his hand tightening to a nearly unbearable level, and I know without even looking he's blushing again.

Lifting my chin stubbornly, I march over to my seat, ignoring Quil gaping up at me, and say, "Move."

He raises an eyebrow, eyes widening even more, before he takes his plate and slides down one seat to a free spot.

Tugging Seth forward, I gesture to the now empty seat and drop into my chair. He hesitates for a moment before sighing, slowly lowering himself into his seat. I take one of the plates stacked in the center of the table and hand it to him, and he mutters a soft, "Thanks."

For the next few minutes, the table is quiet. The only sound comes from my silver gently knocking against the glass plate. No one else is speaking, or even eating, not even Seth, who is staring at his still empty plate with red cheeks.

"You know it hasn't been this quiet since we left Alaska." I comment matter-of-factly, breaking the silence and making except Dad everyone look over.

He looks like he's going to explode.

He probably would if it weren't for Mom's gentle hand rested on his forearm, drawing mindless shapes across his tanned skin.

"Coral." Mom warns narrowing her eyes at me in an attempt to scold me before continuing, "You're stressing your father out."

Corey decides to pipe in before I can comment, "She always stresses him out." This causes a muffled laugh from Jared and Quil.

Mom closes her eyes as she takes a deep breath before turning her attention to Corey, "Be nice to your sister Corey." She has always had a lot of patience with my brother and I, a fact that proves usual when we screw up.

I shoot my smirking brother a glare before turning back to Mom. "How? I'm not doing anything."

"For once..." Corey mutters under his breath, but the heightened hearing of the wolves picks his comment up, and a round of chuckles passes through the table. Even Seth cracks a smile, and my scowl deepens.

I try to discreetly flip Corey off, but everyone sees and starts laughing again, even louder this time, and my mom gives me a chastising look. "Coral-" She begins, her voice attempting to be soothing, but Dad cuts her off.

"Coral, I'd prefer if you could let go of Seth's hand and move away." He says cooly, staring daggers at the boy sitting next to me. Seth shrinks back, his hand opening to drop mine, but I only hold his even tighter.

"No," I reply stubbornly, feeling frustrated at everyone's attention. What is so interesting?

Dad takes another deep breath and Mom turns her attention to him and murmurs something to him that sounds suspiciously like 'It's okay.'

"Coral maybe we sh-" Seth starts and I turn to glare at the adorably hot boy next to me. His innocent brown eyes make my resolve grow stronger. I'm not sure what's going on with everyone, but I'm going to find out.

Gripping his hand tighter, I reply, "Not a chance. I want to know what's so funny." When I look back at my father, he's glaring, this time at me.
