Be my girlfriend? (Luke)

You and Luke had been best friends since you were four years old. Growing up you both developed crushes on each other, but like most best boy/girl friends you didn't reveal it because you didn't want things to be awkward. And you definitely didn't want the friendship to end. Now in high school, you'd both hidden your feelings for years, but Luke was planning on changing this. 

He invited you around to his place, you thought nothing of it, since it was a regular thing. However, when you walked inside and saw the table set and a small candle in the middle you got really confused but didn't say anything. Luke pulled out your chair and you sat down, then he brought two plates of food out from the kitchen and placed them down on the table before sitting himself down. "Luke what's going on?" you questioned confused by the romanticism of the situation. 

Luke took a deep breath before taking your hand "Y/N I've liked you for a really long time but I haven't said anything because I didn't want to ruin our friendship but I can't hold it in any longer. I'm in love with you and always have been, and I wanted this to be romantic and everything..." he said babbling "but I'm babbling, basically I just wanted to ask you if you'd be my girlfriend?" he asked, you noticed the shy tone in his voice and smiled. 

"Luke I've liked you for a long time too and I'd love to be your girlfriend" you smiled.
