Adam's P.O.V
I watched as the green challenge shot through the opening garage door, the air filled with the roar of its engine. I was fumbling with the door to the Camaro when I heard the sound of guns being loaded. I looked up at Raven who stood across from me. She, in turn, glanced at Jace, and we all seemed to be thinking the same thing. Oh shit.
"Put your hands behind your head." A woman shouted, and we all obliged. Instantly I was forced to the ground and cuffed, the cold metal biting at my skin. I was soon made to get back up, and I turned to see 3 squad car's, lights ablaze. I shot a quick glance at Jace, as we were both led towards the closest car, who gave me a well this sucks kind of look. By now someone had begun to read us our rights. I zoned out, it wasn't the first time I'd heard them.
I was pushed into the back, Jace in the next seat along, 2 officers taking their places in the front. The engine rumbled into life sounding tame compared to the gleaming muscle car we were leaving behind. We were just pulling onto the highway as one of the officers grabbed the radio.
"We have apprehended 3 of the culprits, and we are inbound. ETA 12:30." and the rest of the ride went in silence.
*********
I was sat in the corner of a cell, Jace up against the opposite wall, I let out a long sigh twiddling my thumbs out of boredom.
"Man, I hope they got away," Jace said, getting to his feet and beginning to pace.
"Yeah, me too," I said, thinking about the Hunt brothers. Ryder wouldn't last 5 minutes in a cell with his nightmares, and Theo had a whole host of problems of his own to deal with.
"What do you reckon's gonna happen to us?" Jace asked stopping his marching and turning to face me.
"Hell, I don't know. There's no way we're getting out of this. Most likely be tried as adults and they'll lock us up and throw away the key." I said laughing slightly. "Especially if Parker has anything to do with it." And as if on cue guess who just so happened to open the cell door.
"Kent, on your feet." The short women snapped. I jumped up, sliding off the slick floor. Once I was up cuffs were clamped on and I escorted into the Interrogation room. A wall of one-way glass was the first thing I saw, no doubt there was someone sat behind it monitoring our behavior for a tell. I'd been in and out of rooms just like this enough times to know what I was doing. "Sit." Parker snapped forcing us both down onto chairs.
Now that the two of us were seated she began to pace back and forth in front of us. "Now, as I understand it this is the 7th time in 3 months that you've been in this room," She said. I rolled my eyes
"And?" I asked dragging out the A.
"Don't give me that cheek." Parker spat. "Now, tell me where your little boyfriend was heading."
"I don't- Wait, how did you know that?"
"I have eyes everywhere, I know what you to get up to when you think you're alone." She laughed slightly. I dropped my head, looking down at my lap, cheeks flushed red. "Now, where were the Hunt's going?"
"I don't know," I said, and it was the truth.
"Okay, then who paid for the new plates?"
"Raven and Me," I replied, once again telling the truth. Buying plates wasn't a crime. The crime was owning the fake IDs we used to get them
"And why don't I believe you?" She asked. I shrugged because I knew it would irritate her. "You better start answering my questions Kent or-"
"Or what?" I asked. "You'll lock me up and throw away the key. Ask any one of those professional ass holes behind that glass. Hell makes me take a polygraph. I'm telling the truth." I said the last few words slowly to make my point.
"Where are they?" She asked in a voice strained with effort.
"No idea," I replied, leaning back casually in the chair.
"Okay then, who's Idea was it to steal the cars?"
"It was sorta a group effort." I shrugged once more.
"And which car killed Mr. Chesters, and who was driving it?" She was staring me down.
"It was the Camaro, I was driving," I muttered.
"See, again I don't believe you." She said in a sickly sweet tone. Parker then reached for the radio by her hip. "Bring me, Sullivan, Set a polygraph up in room 12, I don't believe a work Kent has been saying." Moments later 2 officers entered the room and escorted me to room 12.
This is my first time writing in Adam's P.O.V I hope you enjoyed it. I know it's short but oh well-Flo
