I set my bag down beside the bed closest to the door and kicked off my shoes. I yawned widely, setting Jace off too, as I lay back on the bed. "You're not going sleep now are you?" Jace asked in amazement.
"If you'd been sleeping as badly as I had for the past few days you would too," I said yawning once more.
"If you say so." Jace laughed falling back on his bed causing the mattress springs to creak. A light flashed as he turned on his phone, the screen illuminating his face. I was about to ask him what he thought of the cars when odd noises began to drift in from the room next door.
"What the hell is going on in there?" I asked sitting up.
"They're probably fucking each other," Jace said bluntly not taking his eyes off his phone. I laughed, causing him to look up, giving me a strange look.
"What?" I asked suddenly confused.
"I was being serious," He said sitting up. "Theo and Adam are most likely fucking right now." and as if to confirm Jace's theory a voice said:
"Theo, baby."
"By fucking what do you mean?"
"Well Ryder, when two people love each other very much-" but I cut him off.
"In love?" I half shouted, everything clicking into place in my mind.
"Yeah, they're together." Then finally I understood. Theo is gay. I thought, a wave of anger hitting me. Why didn't he tell me? My head was spinning and I shot to my feet heading towards the door. Jace spoke as my hand reached out for the door. "You can go and prove me right, but don't blame me when you're scarred for life." I considered what he said, and decided to take his advice. I returned to my bed, lying back and staring at the ceiling.
My brain was buzzing, thoughts swirling around, but one kept coming to the surface. How could Theo keep this from me? I let out a frustrated sigh and ran a hand through my hair. I lay there planning how I was going to approach my brother about it the next day, but it was hard as all I wanted to do at that point was break his nose.
At what felt like one in the morning the noises died away, and I finally shut my eyes and drifted into an uneasy sleep.
This chapter had a bit of a twist, I was unsure about it, so sorry if it's a bit weird. Please let me know if you like it though. It is a short one, but the next one is a longer one.- Flo
