Theo pulled the Challenger to a stop outside a very modern looking cabin hidden from the world by dense trees and bushes. The car was parked to one side, concealed behind a few bushes. Theo and I waited by the car as Marc broke into the house. I went around to the trunk and grabbed my bags, shouldering my backpack, and swinging the other over my back.

"This place has to be off the grid. If we use limited power no red flags will be triggered." I said as Marc reappeared with a grin. "I say we stay here for a while." Marc cleared his throat, drawing all attention back to him.

"We're in." He smiled leading us to the front door. Theo lingered by the car, grabbing some more supplies. Tank trotted by my side as we entered the building. The open plan space that unfolded before us had a futuristic feel to it the large room length windows filling the whole house with light.

"Nice place." Theo admired from behind us. The 3 of us shuffled further inside.

"Well, I'm going to explore," Marc announced. I chuckled and followed him up the stairs.

The second floor was less spacious, being sectioned off into individual rooms. Marc and I opened all the doors, nosing around. There were 2 rooms, both with connecting en-suites. One had a large double bed with orange and black bedding facing a large span of windows providing a view of the glittering lake.

The smaller of the two rooms had twin beds a flat-screen between the two and a wall of books. Marc and I claimed it as our own. I took up residence on the bed farthest from the door. I set down my bags, and pulled out all the dirty clothes, setting them aside for washing.

"Come on, We'll go wash these and talk to Theo about going shopping," I said and lead the way downstairs. We were greeted by the sight of Theo attempting to fill Tank's food dish up.

"Get out the way you stupid hound." He said as Tank wound his way between his legs. Finally, the bowl was safe on the ground, and He looked up to see us watching him. "Sup guys." He asked trying to regain his cool.

"Hey," Marc responded, his words followed by a loud growl from his stomach. "Um, just wondering, what's the planned food wise?" I let slip a small burst of laughter and pushed past Marc into the kitchen. I opened the cupboards and rummaged around. I pulled out all sorts of canned objects, then shut the cabinet door and turned to face My new found friend.

"Here. Make yourself useful. Make something with this." I smiled gesturing towards the pile of food.

"What are you going while I'm preparing your lunch?" Marc questioned raising his eyebrows.

"Well, unless you want to wear the same pair of underwear until we buy more clothes I am going to put some clothes in the wash," I said turning to leave.

"That reminds me," Theo said following me. "I have a few things that could use a wash." And with that we left to grab our clothes, regrouping in the laundry room.

"Okay. Put everything in, there is some powder in one of these and press go I guess." I said shoving my clothes in.

"You guess? Haven't you used a washing machine before?" Theo asked putting his clothes in next.

"No have you?"

"Of course not, It can't be that hard." He said as he closed the hatch and began to press buttons.

"No, Theo you're doing it wrong," I complained barging in front of him and doing what I thought was right.

"And how would you know dumb-ass?" Be bickered back and forth for about 5 minutes, achieving nothing until Marc interrupted.

"Ladies, ladies, step aside." Marc sniggered, pushing us to either side. He skillfully pressed a few buttons, twisted a dial and added some washing powder, before pushing go. "See, that wasn't too difficult now, was it?" He smirked and returned to the kitchen. I gave my stunned brother a look of amazement, before following after Marc.

"What's for lunch chef?" I asked.

"I call it alphabet spaghetti in a cup." He said handing me a glass filled with orange liquid and pasta.

"Ok," I said taking the spoon he was holding out for me. I took the cup over to the lounge filled with large sofas and a flatscreen. Multiple gaming consoles crowded the cabinet beneath, boxes of games stacked on either side.

I took a seat, Marc joining me with his own cup of noodles. I picked up the remote that lay on the coffee table before me. With the click of a few buttons, the TV flashed into life.
