Theo's P.O.V
Altogether it wasn't the most comfortable way to spend a night, what with the lack of room, and the noises coming from the forest. After about 2 hours of constant changing of position, trying to get comfortable, and the occasional snore from one of the others sleep finally fell upon me.
I lay under soft white sheets on top of a comfortable mattress, sunlight streaming in through the curtains. I rolled onto my side to find a smiling Adam watching me.
"Hey handsome." he said voice rough from a night of un-use.
"Morning beautiful." I grinned leaning in for a kiss, but Adam rolled away. With a laugh, I sat up and moved so that I was on all fours looking down at him. I looked into his stunning odd colored eyes, the brown flecks in the green one flashing gold in the morning sun. "Come here," I said playfully growling, making Adam laugh, a sound that sent a good kind of shiver down my spine.
He propped himself up on his elbows bringing us face to face. I closed the distance between us pressing my lips to his. They moved in sync and soon I was running my tongue along Adam's lip begging for entrance. He let me in with a slight moan of pleasure, lifting his hands to my hair. He fell back pulling me with him, our lips not parting as we did.
My mouth moved down to his neck sucking lightly, marking his as mine. Adam let out a moan as I found his sweet spot, causing me to smile into the kiss. I paused, pushing myself back up to catch my breath, as I did so Adam watched me with a smile.
"You're beautiful." I grinned planting another kiss on his lips.
"I love you," He smiled beaming back. As he did my eyes took him in, scanning over his face. From his crooked nose to the scar by his right eyebrow. As I did this, I began to gently kiss his skin slowly moving down his chest. "Theo." He sighed, pushing me away. I chuckled and rolled over, lying down beside him, wrapping my arms around his waist.
"I love you," I whispered in his ear.
"I love you more."
"I love you most."
I awoke with a start, blinking slowly, my mind still buzzing from the dream. With a yawn, I took in my surroundings. The sun was beginning to rise beyond the trees throwing them into silhouette. I glanced down at the watch on my right wrist; It was nearing 4.
I looked to my side to see Ryder, with his head hanging down in the foot well, legs hung around the headrest. Behind me Marc had fallen down into the gap between the front and back seats, Tank curled up happily on the seats. I chuckled at the state of them and turned back to face the steering wheel. Stretching I reached for the keys and turned them in the ignition, firing up the engine. I took it slow, pulling back out onto the road, watching the headlights illuminate the trees on either side of me.
The sound of the engine had awoken Tank, who had moved so that his head was peeking over my shoulder.
"Hey, buddy," I said patting him on the head. Tank let out a loud bark in reply, waking up the others. Marc awoke sitting up suddenly hitting his head on the way up.
"What time is it?" He groaned as he clambered back into his seat.
"Yeah, the sun is hardly awake." Ryder joined turning so that he was upright.
"It's like half 4," I replied as we drove over the state line into Tennessee. The nerves I had been feeling since yesterday eased, knowing we were another state away from where the cops expected us to be.
"Hey, doesn't Jace have a cousin that lives in Tennessee?" Ryder asked running a finger through his black and orange hair.
"Yeah, in Clarksville," I replied remembering Jace mentioning it one time.
"That's like 5 hours from here," Marc said leaning between the two front seats.
"Ok sounds like a plan. But first, we need gas." Ryder said pointing out that the dial was hovering near empty.
"And I need food," Marc said.
"Of course you do." Ryder laughed shaking his head. I smiled to myself and kept driving, finally pulling off of the back roads onto a large 4 lane highway. The change of pace was welcome. The empty stretch of road allowing me to push the needle on the speed dial past the 40 mark it had been stuck at.
As I pushed my foot down on the gas the needle jumped and the engine revved. I grinned over at my brother at the sound, and he grinned back.
"Yeah, I know it's a nice noise, but it won't sound like that for too much longer unless you find a gas station real soon," Marc said.
"I know, keep your eyes open for a sign. If we break down we're-"
"There!" Ryder shouted making me jump. He was pointing to a sign indicating a turning
"Shit Ryder," I said, following his directions, my heart still hammering from the scare he gave me. I pulled off the highway, following the signs, and then turned left again into a garage.
For those of you who didn't understand the bit about Adam's eyes, he has Heterochromia. It means he has two different colored eyes. One is green and the other is blue. If you're still confused google it :)
