(Kira's POV)

I can't believe that just happened! I was sitting with One Direction! They weren't mean and fame hogs like everybody thought. It was great! They were all pretty cool and really down to earth. Usually big celebrities like them would have all the fans go to their heads but not these guys. They talked to me like they were just normal guys. That's actually what I wanted to happen. I didn't want them to treat me mean but I wanted them to act totally natural. Out of the corner of my eye I see Harry walk past the counter to the booth. They seem to be just talking and enjoying their down time.

"So how was your break for fame" Joey teases me when the woman walks away with her coffee and donut.

"It was so cool!"

"Kira you do realize that that won't happen again, you won't ever see them after this."

"I do," I put my head down, I know this is the last time I'll get to actually speak to them. I realize that I won't ever see them in person again without a concert ticket. But to actually speak to them today will be the best thing that will ever happen to me.

"But just think you still have me" he says in a masculine voice which makes me laugh.

"Yeah I do, at least for now" I smile.

"Kira" I look over to Harry calling my name and I look at Joey who point to the table.

"He called, you have to go" I smile at him before walking to the table.

"Yes sir"

"Do you think, maybe, I could get your number"

"Subtle Harry" Zayn mutters under his breath making Louis let out a giggle, I smile.

"Uh, I don't know" I say "I'm afraid you might give it away"

"Do you really think I'm gonna give away your number" he asks, I start to smile and pull out my notepad. I take the pen and write my number on it. I hand the paper and he shoves it into his tight jean pocket.

"Thank you" I nod before going to walk away, but a hand takes my wrist, I turn around to face the table again "I wasn't done"

"Sorry" I mutter

"When you talked to us, you didn't freak out, why?"

"You want the truth"

"Yes,"

"My sister started obsessing over you at thirteen. Then my friend was turning thirteen and started liking you guys. I was only twelve, I honestly didn't think that you were that big of a deal, I wasn't really into boy bands. The Jonas brothers were my life but they split so I gave up." I start "but I turned thirteen and started to like you guys, you were great, but you guys were always portrayed by the media in the worst way."

"But. . ."

"But I wanted to meet you so bad. I knew I would never know the real you unless I met you. I didn't freak out because this may have been my dream but I knew I would never see you again so why freak you out the only time I met you" I shrug "I know I probably just freaked you out but not by screaming" I say before I put my head down. I look at my hands, there is an awkward silence. I know I probably just freaked them out really bad but they asked, I answered, I'm nothing if not honest. When I look up Harry is looking at the other boys who just sort of sit in silence.

"Well I have to get back to work now see you guys around" though I know I'm lying to myself. They will avoid this place at all costs like that stupid show I used to watch with my niece and nephew. But I don't mind I knew I would somehow screw up this opportunity, simply because I screw up every other opportunity too. But that's fine, I can go on like nothing even remotely possible happened. As I walk away I can feel someone's eyes on me but when I look up it is just Joey.
