Captain Boomerang can feel Kara's happiness emanating from her soft body still resting in his arms and it brings a large smile to the man's lips as he looks down at her lovingly. He cannot help the loving look on his lips since he has nothing but loving feelings toward this woman now speaking to him. He would always show her nothing but love for the rest of their lives together. He knows that Kara is immortal and she would long outlive him but yet he knows he owes it to her to at least search for a way to achieve that same level of immortality.

She deserves to not go through the torturous experience of watching her beloved husband die. And wouldn't their child have that same level of immortality? This thought gives the super-villain pause for thought as he looks at Kara with suddenly widened blue eyes. He tilts his head to the side as he wonders if he has any connections in the darker community that would be able to find him immortality for a price they negotiate among themselves. He would have to make sure that Kara does not find out about the price they come to agree upon since he knows that she would most certainly not agree to it, no matter what the price may come out to be in the end of it.

Digger shudders violently to think of the argument that would come from such a "deal with the devil". That is how Kara would see it, right? He would never wish her to hate him for such deals, though he would not go through with the deal if she found out about the price he has to pay. He would do it out of respect, though he would also turn around and find another way to live forever. He does not want to have any sort of existence without Kara and he does not wish the sight of his eventual death on even his worst enemy.

Kara should not have to deal with something so very horrible in his opinion. He has to look away from Kara after a moment to make sure she does not see the look of absolute terror on his face at the thought of grief she would go through without him. He lets out a deep breath through his lips in a sighing action to keep from sobbing out loud at the sight in his mind's eye. He does not want her to see just how distraught he has just become because of his own horrible thoughts. He closes his eyes for a moment to calm himself before opening them to look at Kara once again. There is a slight smile on his facial features, though he is still showing a tad of sadness as well within the smile itself. His voice is gentle and full of love for his beloved wife as he speaks to her.

"I would never be able to see you as fat, no matter how much you weigh. You are beautiful just the way you are and that is how I will always see you, no matter what may happen to us in the coming weeks or months...even years. You are too beautiful to be seen any other way, my love."

Kara smiled at him. She noticed that sad smile but she knew that if he wanted to tell her about it she would. She hoped it did not have to do with the coming of their child but then she knew he was happy about the baby in some aspect. She knew that there would be complications of course. They would have to see what the child was, though she knew in her heart it was a boy.  She would insist on George Jr. if she had a say in the matter. She had not even thought about the immortality factor or that Boomer might be thinking about it in this moment. If she had she would have been sad. Very sad. It would break her heart on so many levels to know that she could lose him in a heartbeat.

But she was thinking about the superpowers that this child could have, especially since he would be half human. They would not emulate her own in all aspects. He would have some of his own like combining super strength with Boomers impeccable aim. He may be stronger than them both, which was one reason why she knew that they had to form a strong but strict bond with this child. She did not relish his teenage years if they did not.

Her hand went to his cheek as she felt her tummy growl once more. This caused her to blush slightly and she also knew that it would raise suspicions in his mind about when the last time she had eaten was. Even Supergirl could die as she wasn't completely immortal. Wait. Her thoughts went to immortality at this time as she looked into Boomers eyes. She wondered if this could be what he was thinking about. She truly did not want to lose him in any way, shape or form. Her eyes saddened as she lay her head back on his shoulder, hiding the look in her eyes. She knew it would worry him as she was so happy moments ago.

She sighed as she wished she knew of something that was harmless that would give him eternal life. She would set her mind to it and figure something out. She had to. Losing Boomer was not an option. If their children lost their dad, it would be heartbreaking to her as well. She bit her bottom lip as she began to think of anything at all that could be done about the immortality. She could not bear to lose him.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. She jumped as neither of them were expecting anyone. Kara kept mostly to herself and Boomer well....he was mostly there with her. They very rarely left the apartment. Even their groceries were delivered once a week. Suddenly she hears her cousin's voice.

"Kara I know you are in there, I can hear you."

Thank goodness the doors and walls had lead in them.
