Captain Boomerang looks at Kara with a look of utter shock showing openly on his facial features. He cannot believe what he is hearing coming out of Kara's mouth. Is she serious with her words to her cousin now? He says her name quietly but trails off when she continues to speak as if she cannot hear him. He doesn't know what to say at this point since he was not expecting to hear her say these things to Kent in the least. He was not expecting to hear that she doesn't want her cousin near her family, though he is not surprised in a way.

He feels a sense of sympathy toward Superman, though he agrees with Kara's sentiment in the end. He does not want her cousin near him or his children either since he knows all too well what Superman is capable of at the end of the day. He does not want to have blood on anyone's hands since that would mean that he would have to clean it up at the end of the situation. Harkness does not want his children to see such sights in their young lives since he does not want those events to shape their adult lives in any way.

He would rather have them happy and giggling all day under their parents' feet rather than afraid to come anywhere near the two of them. In fact, the very possibility of that event coming to pass fills George with horror to the point of it bringing a shudder to wracking his entire body in a violent manner as he takes a look at Superman closely for a moment. He responds to the other man after a moment with a tone of voice that tells Kent to not argue with him on the subject.

"Though I'm as surprised as you are about Kara's words, I agree with them in the end. I know you would take any chance you could get to put me back in Belle Reve when all I want is to raise my children with the woman I love more than life itself. You would dare to take that chance away from me when I cannot live without the woman in my arms right now. I don't want to have Kara experience a life where her husband is in prison and I don't want her to have to deal with the constant fear of my death inside Belle Reve. So yes, I agree with her sentiment at the end of the day. She knows what's best for our family...sometimes better than I do. If she wants you to be in our lives at some point in time, then I'll let her decide to let you in. Other than that, I'd ask you to respect her words since they mean something to the both of us. I know you love her as much as I do but in a different way than me. Trust me when I say that I will take good care of your cousin for the rest of my life."

The man know as Superman stood and looked at his cousin sadly but Kara was going to stand firm on this matter. She loved him but she loved Boomer more and at the end of the day she knew that Kal-El understood that all too much. Falling in love with was not an easy thing when it came to the Khryptonians so this was no different. He knew he was beaten and he would respect her wishes. Kara could be feisty at the end of the day and he damn well knew not to cross her. He decided that he would do as he was asked though he knew he had better figure out what she meant and soon because he didn't want to lose his only family.

Kara watched her cousin leave but before he did so he set the key to her apartment on the coffee table. He didn't want any temptations at this point because he knew that he was sworn to not harm Harkness now and as much as he resented that fact, he was an alien of honor.  Once the door was closed behind him she let a breath of air out as she calmed herself down and relaxed in Boomer's arms. She could tell he was still surprised but he was what she cared about most. He was important to her and she could not stand it if he went back to that awful place.

She drank down a glass of milk as she realized she was close to the cupboard and the fridge. Pouring it had been easy and was now feeling tired. She knew for a fact that being pregnant with this baby would give her more human tendencies but in the end he would be glad of that fact because she would not be harder than any other pregnant woman to please. A soft yawn escaped her and for some strange reason she was acting as if the scene had not just taken place but then her mind was on complete overload. She lifted her her eyes to his before she leaned in to kiss him passionately.

When she decided to come up for air, she smiled at him.

"I want things to be just us for now. My cousin has a lot to think about and I am sure that he will be busy doing that. I know that look. He will not bother us. If and when he comes to the right answer, he will be back but not before then. I want to focus on us. As much as I love him, I love you more and you are my only thought right now. Thank you for agreeing with me. I just want to help protect our little family from any hurt or pain. I won't lose you to that 'PLACE' again."
