Jak studied the pouch that he carried with him in bewilderment. How did everything fit in there, he thought. Surely there wasn't that much room in there to carry a large amount of things. he imagined all of the orbs and scout flies and powercells, he would run out of room quickly.

Jak looked around at the land below him, trying to figure out his next move as Dax just stood on his shoulder, bickering on and on about how much Keira and Samos talks.

I wonder if he knows that he talks a thousand times more than either of them combined, Jak thought as he shook his head. That was the thing that Dax did the most. He talked. And talked and talked and talked.

When he gets onto a topic about something, he doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut, which usually ended up getting both him and Dax in trouble. Like when he went off on the mayor because he wouldn't let Dax play on the windmill. He was also full of mischief too. Like when he let all of the bird watchers birds out of their cages and then tried telling her that the birds spoke to him about how they wanted to be free and couldn't stand to live in the cages any longer. Of course she didn't believe him and marched him right up to Samos and told him what they did.

Jak squinted his eyes as he saw a faint blue glow floating in between the rocks that reached high in the sky on a little ledge. Ignoring Daxter's chit chat, Jak jumped down and slowly began walking towards the light.

Jak stopped a few feet in front of it amazed at the bright blue colored glow that the little ball of electricity gave off. Tiny lightning bolts sparked out of the sides and then quickly came back to the center of it. Jak felt a powerful pull towards it, hearing the little voice in his head whispering for him to touch it.

"That's Blue Eco, which contains the energy of motion." the voice of Samos said, snapping Jak out of his thoughts. " Blue eco allows you to run fast, break boxes, and even activate some precursor artifacts when you get near them."

Jak and Daxter gave each other a wicked grin as they ran forth and jumped up onto the ledge to collect the eco. The eco zapped itself into Jak's body. Jak grinned as he felt like every cell in his body come alive and the urge to run began to take over.

He sprinted forward with such force, that Dax almost flew off his shoulder, and clung to him like a wet rag flapping in the wind. His heart was pounding faster and faster in his chest with every step that he made, and with every step he went faster and faster. The little voice inside of his head was laughing with joy, whispering to never stop running, that he was meant to own all the power, for him to do great things with the power. What the voice meant by that, Jak didn't have a clue.

Every orb that jak passed flew towards him and into the pouch, causing the numbers to go up quickly, that's when he noticed a circle on the pouch, with the same bright blue color inside of it, slowly disappearing. When he collected another eco cluster, the blue increased inside of the circle.

This is amazing, Jak thought while dax was still screaming his head off from how fast they were moving.

"Notice how each blue eco cluster you pick up increases the time you can use its power." even the communicator had a hard time keeping up with Jak when he was powered up with the blue eco.

Jak didn't remember reading anything about any other type of eco in Samos's books, but maybe because of the fact that samos was the sage of green eco, that's all he had books on, his power.

Jak wondered what other types of eco there was in the world, besides dark eco, when all of the blue eco left his body. Jak's body shook with the sudden emptiness of not having the eco inside of him, all his cells settling down made Jak feel a bit sick. The voice was gone leaving Jak feeling empty and all alone in his head once again.

" you don't look so good there buddy," said Dax. " are you able to go on? You're not going to throw up or faint are you?" he asked, concern in his eyes and he stared at his buddies slightly pale face. A bit touched, Jak nodded at Dax, then his eyes widened in surprise when Dax suddenly shouted.

"Good!!!" said dax as he rubbed his tiny little paws together. "I wouldn't be happy if you suddenly bailed on me. I don't like being orange and furry you know!"

Jak shook his head, thinking about throwing dax into the water so the lurker shark could get a hold of him, when he turned around the corner and saw yet another precursor door, but this one was different from all of the other ones that they have encountered so far.

This one had the same etchings of the precursor orbs and power cells around the edge of it, but instead of a circular pattern on the actual door part, this one has swirls that connected in the middle. It also had a blue lightning bolt that was located on the very top of it. The bolt was the same color as the blue eco. Jak had a bad feeling even before he heard Samos speak yet again.

"This is a precursor door," Samos said as the device floated all around them. "It can only be opened by approaching the door while channeling blue eco through your body."

Jak and Daxter stared at the door, when suddenly Dax started complaining. Again."Well how the hell are we supposed to open the door when we ran out of- Hey! What's that?" Dax said, throwing his hands up to point towards where he was talking about.

Jak turned around and saw some type of vent with blue eco pouring out. It sat on a little rock all by itself, and the only way to reach it was to walk across an old creaky bridge that looked like it was older than the green sage, which was pretty damn old from what him and Dax were guessing.

Then again, no one knew how old the Sage really was. Now that jak thought about it, they didn't know much about Samos or how he came to be with him. His memoires of the past were foggy. The only thing that he really remembered was the fact that on his 9th birthday, he got stung by a ton of wump bees. That, and the memory of a bright light.

Jak slowly approached it, mesmerized by all the blue eco that was just pouring out of it straight into the air while collecting the few orbs that were on the dock. The voice in his head came back, whispering and encouraging him to touch the electric bolts, to let his body fill its self with the energy.

"That's a blue eco vent!" Keria's voice chirped through the device, making Jak's heart flutter a bit. "More concentrated than the floating clusters, this vent will give you a full charge of blue eco letting you use it for the maximum time!"

Jak stood right in front of the vent, studying the eco that flowed out of it. It disappeared into the sky above Jak's head, and came out of the tiny holes in the ground. The inside of the vent is decorated with light and dark blue crystals, which Jak was going to ask Samos what they were made out of . as far as he could tell, it looked like blue and dark eco frozen into solid crystals, but that wasn't possible.

"Get a move on Jak!" Dax said in his ear. Jak turned his head to look at Dax, took a deep breath and walked into the flow of eco, the little voice in his head becoming silent.
