"I-I can't feel sorry for you. I don't know what pain is," she said. Her scared cheeks were streaked with tears.
I held her cheek I my hand,caressing it. Her smile scares barley rough against my palm.
"I don't care," I sniffled, trying to hide my crying. "You can't feel my pain. I want to be happy with you," I told her.
"No," her head shot up ad her eyes Widened. "this is a terrible terrible thing to be: Always happy. What they did to me wasn't very... happy," her permanents smile was plastered on her face, and she sounded joyful even though She was dying inside.

Or the one where when you're depressed, this "group" (like society) carves a smile into your face (like Jeff the Killer) and you're then always happy.
But they're not psycho killers. Then the people who have smiles can't feel pain and they are always optimistic and joyful
