Harry knew that he wasn't normal; when he saw people out at night he knew that something was wrong. And the fact that he was the only one that saw them was even worse... He thought he was crazy, cause nobody goes out at night anymore... Until he met (girl character).
So it's AU obviously, and people aren't aloud to go out at night... They'll burn or die or something. But there's this type of people that can go out and see other people like their kind... Not really sure what you'd call them, but use your imagination! Haha.
