Old habits

Steve and Jon were wandering all around, finding signs of areas they have been to before. Steve says, "With some things broken and denting a few other things, we can find our way back."Jon replies, "See? it's a good thing I try these stunts! and you guys always said it's gonna kill me to come back to it." Steve gives him a look and continued finding more clues. A few blocks over, they found the road where the video game store was. They walked up to it and looked around, trying to remember where Jon ran and how they got to the house. Jon looked through the window of the game store as people inside were staring, "Um Steve." Steve replies, "Hold on" He says again, "Steve" "What?!" Steve retorted. Steve then looked through the window as people were running to the door. The door bursts open with a boy saying,"You're that rabbit kid from school!" Others saying, "WHOA YOU WERE WITH THE BEAST." "WHERE WERE YOU GUYS?!" "OMG CAN I GET A PICTURE WITH YOU GUYS?!" "ARE YOU GUYS MUTATED OR SOMETHING?!" As people kept rambling on with questions, Jon picked up Steve and hopped from head to head from the crowd of people then ran. He ran around the game store and continued running off. He suddenly stops and freezes up, not moving a single muscle. "Jon?" Steve said. He took a look behind them and saw the crowd of people trying to catch up to them also hearing sirens in the background. Steve shook Jon's head and tried giving him a slap on the cheek yelling, "JON COME ON THEY ARE TRYING TO CATCH US!!! PLEASE SNAP OUT OF IT AND KEEP RUNNING!!! MY LITTLE FEET WON'T HELP!!!" Jon twitched his nose and started running a random direction. He's going through the same path that Steve could remember and held on to Jon tight yelling, "Whooooooaaaa!" Once they've reached a clearing, the house could be seen with police tape around it and broken down. Jon kept running to the house, totally not slowing down, and ran to the side, leading to the back yard. Jon ran around in the back yard, seeing cement covering the whole that was in the ground. "Jon where are you taking me? We are here!" Steve said. Jon did not respond and continued running. Then he suddenly stopped and faced the house. Steve looked at Jon, "Ok. What are you planning on doing noOooOoOw" Jon started running towards the broken house as Steve was finishing his sentence. He Jumped, heading for the ground, a secret passage opens and he goes sliding into the basement. The Uncontrollable Jon then stopped and walked regularly across the room. Steve  jumped off and watched Jon. Jon walked under the stairs getting on his knees. He dusted the floor and revealed a hidden slot. He opened it and took out a small box. He walked to the center of the room and opened the same hole from last time. Steve watched closely as he opened the box showing there were three of those spheres in there. Jon takes one out, drops it in the center, and closes it back up. He got up and put the box back. He walks to Steve and presses a hidden wall button, opening a path or stairs to get out of the house. He falls back with his eyes closed and lie there like he's unconscious. Steve checked to see if he was ok and breathing. Jon opens his eyes and quickly sits up bumping his head into Steve as he fall back. "Ow! Warn someone next time will ya?" Steve said. Jon says, "What happened? Did we get kidnapped?" Steve replies, "I'm happy to be saying no. But I think you might have reopened the portal." Jon looks around, "How did I get here again?" Steve asks, "Wait wait wait. So this is where you came from the last time and you had no idea how you got here?" Jon replies, "No, I came from the top floor and then ran all the way down here. Of curse I had no idea how. But do you know how?" Steve says, "Well you went through a secret tunnel and thennn.." He looked at the slot under the stairs and then back at Jon, "and then you some how found a sphere from the last time and put it in that center spot right there. But that's enough talk we should get out of here before the police gets us, ya know?" He helps him up, "you go up first to see if there's anything out there." Jon, "Oh uh ok" he starts heading up the stairs. Steve quickly runs behind the stairs and opens the slot, grabbing the box and closing it back. He hops up the stairs quickly saying, "Anything out there?" "Yes" Jon replied. "Yes it worked!" He reaches the back yard, "It wor-" There were police officers surrounding us. "I'm not sure what's in that box little buddy but you have to give it here." A male cow cop says. "And coming with us to tell us what you know about this house and that 'thing' that we covered up." A female hawk cop says pointing at the cement covered portal. Steve says, "oh jelly sprouters oh jelly sprouters" Jon is getting held by officers and walking to the front. Steve looks at all the officers around, "wait! There's something else I can get in here for you. Hold on." He hops down the stairs and takes the spheres out of the box and hides it in his pocket and then head back up the stairs, "Sorry false alarm. I thought there was something else in there." He said. "Here you go.." Pretending he was upset about getting it taken away. The polices grabs him and starts walking him. The police siren went on and could hear shooting coming from the front. They quickly ran and saw a tentacle that grabbed a police car. "GET THEM TO SAFTEY!!" A male yelled. The officers were bringing them away from the tentacle beast. It brushes the cops away from them as they watched them fly across the street. "Come on let's go!" Steve said quickly. Jon picked him up and ran to the back yard. The cement was broken in to bits and pieces while the tentacle arms were all on the other side of the house. Jon stops at the edge of the portal, "Let save Jay!" They said at the same time as they jumped in. Tons of bright colors surrounded them as they were having a hard time seeing anything. The tentacle was still there around them. They looked down and could see bright and beautiful land below, "Wow beautiful" Steve said. Along with the tentacle beast right at the bottom. "Ahhhhhh!!!!" They screamed. They were getting closer to the beast as it roars at them. But then the bright colors went up as they drop in water.  Jon swam them back up to the surface as Steve gasped, "what the? Where are we?"  It was dark and hard to see anything. Jon swam in the water, trying to find any land that is near by. Steve followed. Jon says, "I think I see something!" Steve replies, "Yes! Thank goodness!" Jon climbs up land and he helps Steve on. "WOO! We're here!" Jon says. "Yes.. But our next level is to find Jay and find a way back." Steve replies. They fist bump and lie down. "I think we should stay here till we maybe have light in here. It's probably night." Steve said. Jon, "already ahead of you. Goodnight" "Goodnight" Steve replies. As they close their eyes and sleep.
