"Well?" Mariana plops down beside me and I look at her confused,
"What?"
"What has Grayson been doing?" she asks and I still look at her with confusion spread across my face. I was really just trying to eat lunch. "C'mon, it's his goal to ask you out before this school year ends, so he has a week. He's not just going to randomly ask you on the last day, what has he been doing to surprise you?"
"Um...nothing?" I raise an eyebrow and she looks at me in disbelief,
"Seriously? Wow, he has to step up his game."
"I don't want him to do anything big, I hate that stuff. I hate the attention and shit, it makes me uncomfortable." I shrug, stealing a grape from her,
"Any girl wants a guy, especially Grayson, to surprise her with stuff. It's science."
"Are we sure?"
"Sky, just, you want him back. You know it and so do I, don't push him away." she says and I nod,
"I'm not pushing away, I'm just not pulling him toward me." I explain and Sophia walks up and sits across from me,
"Jake is the father of my baby! Jake!" she exclaims, "This is horrible, what do I do? Jake Paul, I'd rather it be a homeless mans baby."
"No you wouldn't." I shake my head,
"No, but I'd rather it be Grayson."
"No, I'd rather it be Jake." I say, it's still awkward between us. I know she feels really bad, but she did it and there's no taking it back and I don't know how we're going to go from that to best friend twins again in a matter of days.
"I gotta go." she stands up, quickly walking away. I take another bite of my sandwich and Mariana stares at me, I glance over at her a bit,
"Hi?"
"She's pregnant?!"
"Oh I never told you," I sigh, "Yes, she's pregnant--"
"Hey, Sky, hey Mariana." Ethan sits across from me, "So, are you going to let Grayson in?"
"Ethan."
"Just wondering."
"I'm not pushing him away, and tell him if he wants to talk to me than he can come talk to me because we aren't in fifth grade anymore." I smirk and he looks back at Grayson who is looking over here,
"Dude!" he begins as he gets up and walks towards him.
"I'll leave you to it." Mariana stands up, walking out of the cafeteria as Grayson walks over to my table,
"Hey..." he smiles, "So, what're you doing?"
"Studying for the history final." I shrug, "Gonna fail either way."
"Yeah, same, heh." he awkwardly chuckles, clearing his throat, "So..."
"Is the Grayson Dolan nervous?"
"No." he plays it off coolly and laugh, "Last day of school, I'm gonna pick you up at your house and drive you to school and then we're gonna-"
"Go to the pier."
"Go to the pier." he says at the same time and I gently smile,
"Sounds like a plan." I nod and he smiles widely, "See you then."
"Right." he nods, fleeing from the table. I chuckle, shaking my head and throwing away my trash and heading to class.
