Skylar's POV
"You ready?" Mariana walks in and I shake my head,
"Yep."
"Yeah, because you're annoying and procrastinate packing until the day we leave." she grabs a box and I just throw all my clothes in it, without bothering with folding. We aren't really careful with anything, it's only an hour long drive and we don't have much stuff to bring.
After a few hours, we finish and head downstairs. I grab a water and sit on the counter, "Ready for the goodbyes?"
"No." I shake my head, "I think saying goodbye to you would break me, thank God we got our dorm together."
"I know, right." she says, Sawyer walking in, "Oh yeah, he's taking me on a date to say goodbye. See you later."
"We're leaving in an hour, you better be back in time!" I exclaim as they walk out. I sigh, I'm too single.
"Hey..." Ethan walks in and I smile, "You're already leaving, too?"
"Yeah, but I'm not going across the country." I respond and he nods, "I can't believe my best friends won't be down the street from me anymore."
"It's hard to think about, I have kinda been pushing it off." he says, "I'm going to miss you like crazy, Sky."
"I'm going to miss you too, E." I say, hugging him. "Thank you for always being here, no matter what happened."
"Of course." he says, "I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. Also, sorry I put you in that awkward dating position," he says and I laugh, "We would not have made a good couple."
"No," I shake my head with a laugh, "We were awful."
"I know." he laughs, "But I met Jess along the way, so I can't complain."
"You're welcome. I like Jess, I approve of her." I say, "Did you get your goodbyes out of the way?"
"Tonight," he says, "Not too ready."
"You guys will be okay."
"Yeah..." he says, "But seriously, Sky, I'm going to miss you're annoying sarcasm and inability to be serious in certain situations and the way you're always there."
"Aww, E." I smile, "I'm going to miss you because you always bought me food."
"Yep."
"And because you were there for me after the accident and when the shit with Sophia and Grayson went on and after it and besides you and Mariana, I would've had to gone through it alone and I'm really happy you guys were there to help."
"That's our jobs." he says and hugs me again, "Thanksgiving, we're right back here."
"You already know it." I smile and he pulls away, "Where's Gray?"
"Waiting outside. I'll go get him."
"Alright." I nod, pacing as I wait for him to come back. This is going to be hard, too hard.
"Hey." he says and pulls himself onto the counter, I pull myself up next to him,
"A few months ago I never thought I would say this, but I'm going to miss you." I say,
