Skylar's POV

"We do want to keep you here for a few more days, but we're expecting you should be all set to go home by Wednesday." the doctor says and I nod, "How's your pain today, on a scale of one to ten?"

I guess they do that, maybe because Im on the pediatrics floor since I'm younger than 18. "A five."

"That's a step up from an eight though, isn't it?" she says and I nod,

"It is."

"If you have a visitor and want to walk around the hospital, if you're comfortable with it, may. If not, just go out in the wheel chair and have someone push you around. It beats being stuck in here in bed all day."

"But in bed I have Netflix."

"Gosh, you sound exactly like my daughter." she says, "Ill come check up on you later."

"Okay." I respond and she walks out. I grab my phone and open my messages to Grayson. He's ignored every single one, but he hasn't even turned off his read receipts. I sigh and call him again, then FaceTime him. All being ignored.

"Hey, dude." Mariana walks in, "What's going on?"

"Grayson won't fucking answer me."

"Well, damn." she says,

"I'm sorry. It's just he stops here and says goodbye one last time and leaves, saying he has many reasons but then gives no explanation." I say, "I called him last night and he answered, but he was silent and then hung up."

"Sky, it isn't your job to get him to come home."

"It is because I'm most likely the reason he left." I say, "We broke up and he becomes this new person and then he leaves."

"You guys broke up because he cheated on you, more than once. He didn't become a new person, the person he has always been came out." she says, "He's gone, Skylar, you're finally rid of him why are you trying so hard to get him back?"

"Because if I don't, Ill always be that bitch that has feelings for my ex boyfriend of three years twin brother and broke his heart and he had to run away so he didn't have to face us anymore."

"You think that's the reason, but you don't know the real reason why he went."

"Do you know the real reason?"

"No."

"Then why else would you think he left?"

"Because all the girls found out he was a dick and he couldn't get any so he had to move to get some."

"If that was it he wouldn't have said goodbye or apologized. He sounded so hurt, Mariana."

"So, what? You're going to forgive him for everything he did to you because he apologized after you almost died and then he ran?" she asks,

"No, Im not going to forgive him, but I at least want an explanation as to why he left." I respond, "And he may have saved my life."

"The doctors saved your life."

"I saw you and him talking outside my room the other day." I respond, "I saw Gray, he saw me and Ethan and his face went blank. What were you talking about?"

"Wanna go for a walk?" I ask, "In the hospital."
