"Okay, what is it?" he asks,

"Uh, I just needed to tell you that I..." I pause for a minute. Should I tell him? What if it makes it awkward between us? "That I like um, I like..." why is this so hard for me?

"You like?"

"I like Shawn Mendes." I say and he nods, looking at me,

"That's cool, he's cool."

"Yeah." I say and he looks at me,

"Sky," he begins, "What do you like?"

"I like you..." I begin, "Just being away made me realize how much I missed you and the idea of us grew on me, I like you, Ethan."

"Really?" he smiles widely,

"Yes," I smile and he hugs me, "But I do like Shawn too."

"Yeah, he has good music." Ethan says,

"But I don't want to rush into anything..." I say and he nods,

"Me either, we also shouldn't tell Gray. I know he has no place to have an opinion but we both know what would happen to me if he found out about us so soon..."

"Yeah," I nod, is this hypocritical? I did flip on him for dating Sophia and making out with her at the party..., "Well, we're going to take this slow, we aren't officially dating yet..."

"Yeah, I know." he nods, "You going to the football game on Friday?"

"Yeah, you?" I ask and he looks at me, "Ha, you play, I forgot..."

"You wanna hang after?" he asks and I nod,

"Probably, but Mariana and I are going together so you're either going to have to come with us or not at all." I respond and he nods,

"Well, as long as Mariana likes me I'm cool with tagging along." he says and I look at him, raising my eyebrows, "She doesn't like me?!"

"No, I'm kidding. She likes you." I say, "What do you want to do?"

"I dunno, just hang out."

I close the front door and put my keys on the entrance table. I walk into the kitchen and grab a water, walking upstairs and walking into my room. I already have a ton of empty water bottles that I could just refill but there's already full ones in the fridge so oh well. I look around for my charger, "Where the hell is it?" I ask, walking out of my room and walking into Sophia's room,

"Haven't you heard of knocking?" Sophia exclaims as she and Jake sit up. I stare at her and he smirks,

"Oh my god," I say, "Did you take my charger?"

"Oh, yeah. Jake needed one." she says and tosses it back to me, "Knock next time."

"Why is he even here still?" I ask and walk out, leaving the door open. I shut my door and lock it, plugging my phone in and going to sleep.

Friday night

"I just don't understand why you would say 'Shawn Mendes' and then actually admit it two seconds later." Mariana says as we walk around the field,

"Because I like him, I didn't think he would catch on that I wasn't saying what I actually wanted." I look at her, "Whatever, he knows now."

"Thank God, you two have to happen eventually and it's about time." she says and I laugh, "Seriously, I know Ethan wasn't your top choice considering Grayson, but Eth could be the boy who looks at you like you're his whole world."

"Yeah..." I nod,

"You deserve that."

"So do you, so let's find you a man." I say and she laughs,

"No man would ever want me."

"Yes they would, you're gorgeous, hilarious, supportive, you're the whole package." I say and she smiles, "Any boy would kill to have you."

"You're right. Let's find me a man."

"Okay, do you guys just want to meet at the ice cream place?" I ask after the game ends,

"Yeah, I'll give Mariana a ride." Ethan says, "Just because I know she's taking pictures with everyone and you're leaving now."

"Okay, I'll see you guys there." I say and walk to my car, getting in and starting it. I connect my phone to bluetooth and shuffle my music. I hate driving in the dark, but it's only about five minutes away so it's no big deal.

I sigh when I get to a red light at an intersection, I'm the only one here why is it a red light? I tap my hands on the wheel impatiently when my phone starts ringing,

"Hey," I answer,

"Hi, where are you?" Mariana asks,

"I'm on my way to the diner, where are you guys?" I ask,

"We're on our way, may be a little bit since Ethan is taking forever in the locker room." she groans, "Coulda waited."

"I'm sorry, he said he'd drive you." I respond, "Finally." I say as the light turns green. I start driving through it, "When is he g--" I say, then stop when I look over and another car rams into the side of mine and my car flips over, when everything goes black.

anyways please comment your thoughts. kinda boring chapter but the ending wasn't, heh:/...
