Or, as everyone in my math class calls it, torture in its purest form.
Okay, IXL is a website that claims to make "practice like play".
LIES!!! (I am not exaggerating)
Basically, it gives you these little test like, pronouns, the Battle of Hastings, the Scientific Method, or, like we were doing today, equations with exponents.
The test isn't over until you've reached 100 points, and the further into the "game" you get, the harder the questions, and the less points they're worth.
That's not even the bad part.
If you miss a question, it takes points away from your score and the closer you get to 100, the more points it takes away.
So everyone kept getting to, like, 95 then missed a question and it puts them back to 86. Then 72. Then 64.
It think the girl next to me went home and screamed into a pillow.
I, legit, was at 99 points and typed in the wrong thing, so I pressed the backspace and IT TOOK ME BACK TO THE HOMEPAGE!!!
Luckily it saved my progress or else I think I would have actually cried.
If anyone else's teachers put them through this torture, please comment below and we can scream in frustration together.
