You know you live in a small town when the most exciting thing is the county fair.
The fair is in almost two months and everyone in my town is already starting to get excited about it. (Except for this one guy who moved here from Minnesota and has yet to experience the awesomeness that is the county fair.)
Our county has, like, the best fair in all of existence. There's food stands- and not all fast food, there's a grilled corn stand and a sub sandwich trailer- almost everyone enters crafts and/ or crops, and we have livestock judging.
We have a midway, but that's not even the half of it. The truck and tractor pull is one of the highlights and someone flipped over at the demolition derby last year!!!
But siriusly, we start getting ready for the fair in the middle of summer. It takes place the last week of September.
We even get out of school the Friday the fair's in town and you get in free if your a school kid and you come before 3.
Point being, we have the best fair of all time. We actually got an award a few years ago for having the best fair in the state.
