Kids. . .

This chapter makes me feel old, even though I'm only fourteen.

When I was ten years old and my parents said, "It's a beautiful day, go outside and play", I would do one of three things.

1) Make flower chains
2) Practice doing cartwheels
3) Stare at the sky through the tree branches because I liked to pretend I was in a romance movie.

When the neighbor kids are told, "It's a beautiful day, go outside and play", they do one of three things.

1) Disregard laws and drive a golf cart on the streets.
2) Disregard more laws and disobey basic rules of the road while on said golf cart. For example, not paying attention to stop signs and driving on the left side of the road.
3) Disregard common sense and lay down on a skateboard, hold onto the back of the golf cart, and having someone drive you around.

Although, if it's night time, they don't ride a golf cart.

They stand by the side of the road and play Chicken.
