Spark's POV:

After I got over with the whole tucking Blanche in, I stared at the ceiling, feeling how the thoughts rushed through my mind.

It was 4:00am already, and I couldn't catch a taste of sleep. I turned around, facing her. I took my hand, and I started brushing the bangs of hair to the back of her ear.

I kept doing that, until I noticed she opened her eyes, peeking a little at the vaguely lighted room. As soon as Blanche saw me, she leaned forward, trying to stand up and remove the blankets off her.

"Don't" "I'll leave" I said, putting my hand on her shoulder.

"What are you doing here?" She said, adjusting her eyes to the dark slowly.

"You kept crying, so I took you here"

"Well, I guess that is thoughtful"

She sat on the side of the bed, looking at the silhouttes of the room.

"I'll be going" I said, while standing up, trying to find the door.

"Hey.."

Her words gave me spine-chills, making me tremble.

"Yes Blanche?"

"Did you really date Candela?"

"I did" I said, while taking a deep breath. "But that was a while ago, you know.."

"I know, I just wanted to hear your version of the events, if you do not mind at all"

I shut the door again, leaning against the wall while finding a pair of words to begin with.

"We've been friends since two years ago" I said, breaking the silence.

"She started developing feelings for me, and I kind of did too. We were a bit naive back then, so our short "romance" had many ups and downs"

"...So. You actually dated her? Like, an official thing?" Blanche said, looking at the window.

"Yeah, those moments were pretty messy. But we had to break up when the GO program came over"

She turned her head to me, like if she was analyzing me.

"But, you actually loved her?" She questioned, while glaring at me.

"I was naive, again. Maybe I kinda did, but she did way more than I ever did"

"Maybe that is why she is so harsh with everyone now"

"Maybe" I responded, looking at the window.

I noticed the absence of her mind that night, how she was just looking straight at things, without questioning them. She looked lost in her thoughts, like if my answers didn't make the cut to her.

"I'll be going" I said, opening the door and taking a step outside.

She didn't say a word. She just kept looking at the door, and how it slowly closed, filling the room with darkness again.

I could not find words to express my feelings. I had a certain anger, but a whole confusion in my head. Questions flashed through my mind; but I was sure about one thing...
