After the icy storm

A beautiful sky, a guilty day. Everything was bland and everyone seemed to be confused. A birth of two children that would affect a whole program. It wasn't such a huge aspect, but it affected the system a lot.

In case you were wondering, everyone is still thinking about the situation. No one is forgetting it slowly, no one will.

There they were, staring at the glass window while he pressed his fingertips against the glass in surprise.

"How are you feeling about them?" The team Valor said, combing a piece of her dark brown hair to the back of her ear.

"Huh? I guess they're fine" He responded, pressing the fingertips deeper onto the glass, then his forehead.

"You know, you can't sink in, even if you wanted to"

"I know Candela, I know"

The worry on his face began growing, as he saw the twins being carried out in incubators, to the NICU.

"Only one can enter the room for now" The nurse hesitated, stopping Candela from entering the cold room.

She nodded, stepping back while looking away. The nurse and the Instinct leader entered the room, in a bit of a rush.

"You need to calm down and just spend time with them" A nurse with pink hair (In similarity to other nurses that mostly trained for Pokémon medicine) responded to him.

"How am I supposed to? I messed up, and this is what happened-" He said before being interrupted by the crying of one of the twins.

The nurse silenced him, putting a finger over her pale lips, then turning around. She carried the baby like a flower bouquet, as the other nurse checked for signs of complications.

"They'll be good to go in a few" One of them said.

"How long? Days, weeks, years?"

One of the nurses looked uncertain about her words or even her thoughts at his comments. But, she just closed her mouth, looking at the second nurse.

"I am very certain that it won't take years" She smiled awkwardly. "But a few days will do, alright?"

He nodded, stretching his arms while the nurse walked towards him, pushing an incubator. The nurse smiled to him, leaving the new parent a few minutes with their baby.

"You have about ten minutes with them, until it's feeding time for them" They said, leaving him alone with the small bundle of joy he now had to call his son.

He looked at the nurse as she carried the other baby. "But wait!"

The nurses turned around, looking confused at the blonde man.

"What about that one?" He said, pointing to the other baby sleeping in the nurse's arms.

"Oh, this one is going to see its mommy first" She said, leaving the room along with the other nurse.

"She's awake?!" He exclaimed as the other nurses left the cold room.

Candela's POV:

The nurses made me feel a little bit uneasy. They reminded me of pain, and needles. I hated how they used to tell you everything was okay after a severe burn, even if it hurt more than hell itself.
