FLASHBACK, TWO YEARS BEFORE THE RECENT EVENTS

Prologue:

Have you ever wondered on how can you love someone just to fit with the society? Has it ever happened to you?

Well, when it actually happens, you do not have a choice. You go with it or you simply get caught on the act with your true lover. It's hard to get out, and it's confusing. But I had it all clear; I had to escape.

Blanche's POV:

When you're quite silent, you learn that saying your first words to a new comer need to be either perfect or messed up. There's no in between.

You also learn that you can trust no one, since they eventually backstab you or just use the information given to them as a threat.

Candela was a great friend to me, but she was annoying sometimes. Her ego would get to me, destroying my happiness within seconds.

"You've been staring at Spark for quite a good two minutes. Even if you were that lenient, I believe that gluing your hands together at this age isn't that amusing" Candela said, yawning at me.

"..."

I didn't have an answer, exactly. I just simply ignored the fact she was actually talking, just so I could keep looking at peaceful things, even if it was a sticky hands duel.

"Eh, so we do have a problem?" Candela said, smiling at me.

"..."

"You love him, don't you"

"I don't-"

"Oh, so you speak?" Candela responded, standing up from her seat.

"...I actually do. But your stupidity blocks my brain cells from doing so" I responded, crossing my arms.

Candela stood there, with her mouth open. I knew she was shocked, but I had enough of her sarcasm for just a good 30 minutes.

"Look, whitey-"

"Blanche-"

"I don't care" She responded, mocking my voice.

"You better learn it, just like I did with yours" I responded, putting my hands in my pockets.

"Well, I've got a deal for you-"

"Not interested" I quickly responded, turning back to my papers.

Her hand on my shoulder made me turn around again, sadly facing her. Her eyes were yellow Sapphires, yet her attitude made them look like pieces of Sulfur. Her unperfect strands of hair made her look like a deadly masterpiece, but I wouldn't even look at her for five seconds straight in an art gallery without vomiting.

"...Whitey? You listening?" She said, snapping her fingers just to get my attention.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Well, let me repeat"

"... I said I wasn't interested-"

"But you're interested in him" Candela said as she laughed, pointing to Spark.
