*Aria*

"Brayden is questioning why ive been so distant. Ever since you went missing I was at the station almost all the time, but now with you here I'm barely ever there," he sighed
"Then go be there, you don't need to watch me ever second of the day," I said
"I know, I just- don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you again," he said
"Sean, I will be okay." I half smiled
"I know, I know," he nodded
"But I have a favor," I smiled more
"Oh geez," he laughed rolling his eyes
"Can we go see Brylee?" I asked biting my lip in anticipation.

Brylee was my best friend. I had known her since third grade. We instantly clicked when we met.

His face dropped slightly. He closed his eyes for a moment. He built up his courage and blurt it out.

"No, Aria," he sighed
"Why not?" I asked folding my arms
"You can't just have everything you want right now. You're a wanted criminal- they'll kill you if they find you! What if Brylee call the cops! I can't risk that. I'm sorry." He said
"No you aren't," I said a bit harshly
"You're right- I'm more concerned about your life then your wants-" he sighed before walking into his bedroom.

I wanted so badly to just scream out of frustration. He's the only person I can talk to, how am I supposed to rant to my boyfriend about my boyfriend?!

I glanced down at the coffee table. His house keys we're laying there. I quickly picked them up and shoved them into my jacket pocket.

I quietly put some shoes on and opened the front door. I silently closed it behind me.

I knew exactly how to get to Brylee's house. It wasn't far either, so it worked.

___

I looked up at the house and smiled. It brings back so many memories.

I jogged up to the doorstep and knocked three times. Adrenaline rushed through my body.

The door handle wiggled and my eyes widened and butterflies flew around in my stomach.

"Hello?" Brylee opened the door up with a confused look
"Hi, I'm looking for Brylee," I contained my joy
"I'm Brylee, who are you?" She asked
"I'm a reporter, I was wondering if you'd say some words on my topic," I said
"How'd you find out where I live and who I am?" She asked cautiously
"I have my people," I chuckled a bit
"Well I mean I guess you can come in," she said.

I'm surprised she didn't recognize me yet. I guess the new hair threw her off.

"So what's your topic?" She asked
"The mafia," I smiled and her face twitched a bit
"More specifically, Aria Steffens," I said and her eyes widened and she stumbled
"I- I can't talk about her, I'm sorry, can you please leave," she said
"I heard you were best friends, do you know where she is now?" I asked
"I- no I don't- but even if I did I wouldn't ever talk about it to the press- please leave," she pointed to her door.

A huge smiled spread across my face and she gave me a weird look.

"Brylee, it's me. Aria-" my eyes started watering
"N-no- how?" She asked
"I- I've missed you so much," I said going to hug her
"Aria- what are you doing here," she let out a laugh, cry, sob of relief thing
"Well, hiding from the cops, I'm staying at Sean's" I said as I squeezed her
"You're doing a great job hiding- I didn't even recognize you!" She laughed pulling away and wiping away her tears.

___

After hours of just talking and catching up we were watching a movie. She was filling me in about all the celebrity gossip.

A hard knock was heard at the door. She gave me a worried look. She got up and walked to her door.

She looked through the peep hole. She sighed of relief.

"It's just Sean," she laughed a bit before opening the door.

He walked right on it without even looking at Brylee.

"Aria Steffens! What the actual fuck do you think you're doing?!" He shouted a look of frustration covered his face.

I stood up from the couch and walked up to him. Brylee looked worried.

"I'm catching up with my best friend. I told you she wouldn't call the cops on me. You have to trust me sometimes," I said
"How am I supposed to trust a criminal-" his eyes widened at his words as he heard them.

I took a step back and closed my eyes.

"A-aria- I'm sorry- I didn't mean-" I cut him off
"No. If that's what you see me as then why don't you just turn me in? If I'm just some criminal why don't you just give me the death penalty now? I'm obviously not trust worthy enough for you," I sighed
"Aria I don't think if you as a criminal!" He said trying to grab my hand
"Really? Because you just said I was! You just said you couldn't trust me! Can you just leave please." I began shouting but soon my voice was a whisper.

He slowly turned with a hurt look on his face. He let himself out and shut the door softly behind him.

"Oh babe," Brylee said as she saw the tears sliding down my face
"I am a criminal, and I'll never change," I sobbed
"No! You can always change! You're doing it right now! You're taking steps to make a new life!" She tried cheering me up as she hugged me.
