Chapter 1 - The Journey Begins

Ash's POV
Tomorrow was the day! I was finally going to become a Pokemon trainer!! Me and Serena already promised each other we would go on our journey together. " I'm actually going on a journey with my best friend Serena!" I shout

I felt some weird feeling in my chest. I didn't know what it was. Oh well.

I remember the fun I've had with Serena. After Camp we grew really close. She became a better friend then Gary or Leaf ever was. We played everyday for a couple years. We went to water parks, parks, she even let me play with her stuffed animals with her. She got rid of them when she got to old though

I was watching the Pokemon battle between champion Lance and an elite 4 member.

"ASH!! It's 10:30!!! You need to go to bed!!" My mom shouts walking into my room.

"But moooom!"

"No buts Ash! You have 5 more minutes!" She grabs my remote. "In the mean time watch this." She turns on a program talking about the 3 starter Pokemon.

I groan. I shut off the tv and jump into bed. I look out my window and see Serena in her room being scolded by her mother.

"See? Even Serena is in trouble for looking at clothes!"

"Whatever mom! Goodnight!!"

"Sleep well Ash."

"Yea yea."

I close my eyes and fall asleep.

The next morning I get a poking from my mom.

"Mom!"

"What!? Your going to be late!!"

I look at the clock and gasp. It was 9:45 I had to be at the Pokemon lab in 30 minutes!

"I'm up I'm up!!" I run around grabbing my hat and pulling on my clothes for my journey. (he was wearing his first outfit)

I eat a quick breakfast and run out of my house. I run ahead and meet up with Serena.

"Serena! Hey!" I shout panting.

"Oh.... Oh hey Ash!! How'd you sleep?" She asks politely.

"Fine. You?"

"Great."

"How'd you find out what to where?"

"I asked my mom what she thought was cute and I chose the opposite."

I chuckle at her response.

Serena was wearing a grayish-black tank-top with a white collar, a red skirt, a dark pink hat with a black bow and hatband, black stockings, and black shoes, with a pink backpack
(This is her XY anime outfit at first)

We get to the lab and Gary along with Leaf were already there.

"You people are slow!!" Gary shouts.

"Be quiet Gary!!" Me and Serena shout.

"No more fighting!" Leaf shouts.

"That's right. Now you all are starting your journeys today?" Professor Oak asks.

"Please choose your first Pokemon!"

"Ladies first." Me and Gary say politely.

"Oh thank you." Leaf and Serena say.

"Hmmm. I want Charmander!" Serena says as she releases Charmander.

"Char!" I responds

"Wana be my partner Charmander?" I'm Serena! If you say yes you'll be my partner!
