It's been two weeks since the incident at Seafoam Islands. Now, Ash and Serena are at Cinnabar Island, home of Ash's next gym battle, and Serena's next contest.
During the two weeks, Absol and Lucario have been training Ash and Serena to use more of their powers. Serena hadn't unlocked anything else, but was on the way to unlocking an elemental power, same with Ash.
*This Plot hole is in the works of getting fixed*
Ash had unlocked his hidden ability. He was able to now use an ability where he could feel a presence. He could feel a good or bad. Any kind, but he wasn't able to pinpoint. That's where Serena's ability would come in.
Today, Ash and Serena were at the Pokémon center being visited by their friends, Ian and Natalie who had a surprising question to ask.
"Soooo guys." Natalie starts. Me and Ian were wondering if you could maybe take us along in your journey with you?" She adds with a smile.
Serena looks immediately over to Ash with a shocked expression. She turns back to Natalie and Ian and nods her head. "Yes I'm sure we'd love to have you both along with us!" She shouts happily.
"Of course we will!" Ash adds as Pikachu jumps up onto his shoulder. "Pika!" Pikachu shouts happily as he bounces over to Natalie's head.
"Oh Pikachu you're adorable!!" Natalie yells cuddling the yellow rodent. "Wait Natalie!" Ian shouts but before she stopped it was too late, and Pikachu released electricity from his cheeks.
It shocks the group of four and the couple Pokémon that are sitting there. After the electricity settles Pikachu is still on Natalie's head and scratching his cheek.
"Oh Pikachu." Ash says as he slowly sits up again. Pikachu jumps and coward behind Umbreon not liking making Ash upset.
"Oh cmon bud. It's not like I'm going to hurt you." Ash says as he stands and picks him up. He then scratches Pikachu behind his ear.
"Chaaaa!" Pikachu cried as he liked being scratched behind his own ear.
Throughout the day, Natalie was playing with Glaceon and the rest of her Pokémon. Ian was talking to Ash about the Pokémon league, and how they'd be rivals, and Serena was practicing for her next contest which was tomorrow.
Natalie was very excited to see Serena perform tomorrow. She and Glaceon liked watching her perform the last time and she couldn't wait.

Location: Saffron city. Time 12:30 AM. Giovanni's POV
"How's the mew clone project coming along." I ask the scientist who is working along side the scientist constructing my newest project.
"It's coming along well sir. We are on track."
"Good to hear." I say now turning towards Jessie and James and Meowth.
"Should we go after those kids?" James asks
"No. we will wait a little longer. I have a plan. It'll take time to come together however." I respond.
"Yes sir!" They reply and they run out.
This plan will work. It will bring my daughter into my hands in turn, bringing that boy into my hands as well...
Ash and Serena will now be traveling with their friends Natalie and Ian through the region. Giovanni has been developing a mew clone, and has a plan. Find out what happens next as the Journey continues...
