Chapter 53 - The end (rewrite)

Ash and Serena return home to Pallet town. They head home together with Kaelyn between them swinging with the help of Serena and Ash's hands swinging back and forth. Kaelyn was giggling with every swing. She was having a great time. Ash and Serena were walking down Route 1.

Before they started the long walk home they stayed away for another week. All three of them had spent time together just the three of them. Now it was time to head home though. They were all walking. They were very happy that their dreams came close to being true.

When they walked into town there was already a celebration going on. Mew was flying around Pallet Town saying hello which was surprising but she was there. "Oh there they are!" Ash and Serena's mothers said coming to give them hugs. "Hey Mom" Ash and Serena said at the same time.

"And you brought little Kaelyn wth too!" Both the moms say happily. "Yeah. We plan to adopt her soon." Serena says and both the moms look happy and walk off. "Ash my boy!" Ash's dad says approaching. "How are you and my soon to be daughter in law?" He says causing both Ash and Serena's face to go red with a blush.

"I'm joking around!" He says until Kaelyn grabs his hand. "Mommy and Daddy are gonna get married?" She asks surprising the three older people around her. "Well yes I believe eventually they will." Ash's dad says while walking off. "Well.. that was unexpected" Ash says looking down at Kaelyn.

"Am I in trouble Daddy?" Kaelyn asks sadly and all Ash does is is shake his head. "Of course not Kaelyn. We just weren't expecting you to do that." After Ash says this Kaelyn smiles and hugs him. "Yay daddy!" The little girl shouts with an added giggle.

Throughout the day, there was celebration and they acted like Ash and Serena were celebrities and they kept asking that they stopped. Eventually they did but only after a couple of hours. At the end of the day there was going to be a dance in the middle of town. Ash and Serena were the center of it.

When Ash and Serena arrived at the dance there were cheers of happiness and they danced first. "Ash this day has been amazing.." Serena says softly as she dances with Ash. "Yeah it really has been.. we didn't even make it as far as we wished but they still see it as an accomplishment."

"Well of course. I was a finalist in the first Pokémon Grand Festival in Kanto and you made it further then any other trainer from Pallet Town. That's huge" Serena responds to Ash as they continue to dance. Soon the music stops and allows for everyone to enjoy the evening.

"Kaelyn cmon" Ash says and Kaelyn comes running over. "Everyone says that I am cute!" Kaelyn says giggling. "Well that you certainly are Kaelyn." Ash and Serena say at the same time bringing a huge smile to the girls face. "Yay!" She shouts hugging Ash and Serena.

For the rest of the evening, Ash, Serena, and Kaelyn all danced together. They all had a good time especially Kaelyn who had never been able to dance its others and in front of her parents. She adored Pallet Town and how nice people were here. They just danced until the sun set.

"Hey ash. Let's go on another journey some day. Promise me we will?" Serena asks leaning against Ash under the stars at the edge of route one. "I promise you Serena. And we'll even bring Kaelyn with. "Ash says as Kaelyn sleeps curled on his lap. She was exhausted from the dance. "We'll all go in a journey." Ash says pulling Serena closer to him..
