What could've been - The Journey Begins - The Kalos Arc

Here is what could've been if I released the next entry in The Journey Begins. I wrote part of the prologue and part of chapter on and I will give you what I wrote. Keep in mind, this is not a full chapter. It's two half chapters. Half of the prologue, and half of Chapter 1, if I ever make this story.

Prologue - The Kalos Arc

It was a sunny day with not a cloud in the sky. It was warm. "Hurry Pikachu! Hurry Daddy! Catch me!" Kaelyn shouts as Ash and Pikachu chase her and Serena looks on with a smile. "You come here Kaelyn!" Ash yells catching her slowly. Pikachu speeds up and catches up and stands in front of Kaelyn.

"Aww you are just so cute!" Kaelyn shouts excitedly petting the yellow mouse Pokémon. Ash slowly sneaks up behind her. Kaelyn lets out a surprised shriek as she's lifted into the air by Ash. "Caught you!" Ash shouts putting Kaelyn on his shoulders. "Hey that's not fair! Pikachu distracted me!"

"I'm sorry honey. It won't happen again." Ash says and winks. "Mommy! Daddy and Pikachu cheated!" Kaelyn shouts looking to Serena. "Oh cmon Serena be in my side!" Ash shouts and Serena walks over. Ash puts Kaelyn down. "Kaelyn distract mommy okay? I have a plan." He whispers into the girls ear and she nods.

There was a lake behind Ash and Serena's house. It was clear blue. "Mommy hug me!" Kaelyn shouts and hugs Serena tightly. "It's a warm day today isn't it?" Serena asks hugging her daughter tightly. After she, Kaelyn, and Ash returned from their journey they officially adopted her.

Kaelyn saw Ash sneaking up on Serena and she released from the hug. Pikachu was trying to suppress a laugh so he wouldn't give it away. Ash wrapped his arms around Serena's waist lifting her up. Before Serena could respond Ash jumped in the lake with Serena. Before she hits the lake she lets out a small scream.

After Ash and Serena surface they both see Kaelyn and Pikachu dying of laughter. Ash grins and starts laughing with them. Serena sighs but starts laughing with them. "You dummy now my clothes are all wet! Now I'm on Kaelyn's side!" Serena yells while laughing. "Hey mine are too!" Ash shouts getting out of the lake and helping Serena out.

"Hey you two lovebirds!" Gary yells coming into the back yard. "Uncle Gary! Yay!" Kaelyn yells running up to him. She hugs him tightly. When Gary and Leaf returned from their trip away from Pallet Town Kaelyn started calling them Uncle Gary and Auntie Leaf. "Where is Auntie Leaf?"

"She is at the Pokémon lab. Now go tell your mommy and daddy to change and head to the Pokémon lab. Say Professor Oak needs to ask them something." Gary says and walks off. "Mommy! Daddy! Get changed Professor Oak needs to talk to you!" Kaelyn shouts running up to them.

"Alright. Kaelyn why don't you head to the lab and we will be there in let's say 15 minutes alright" Ash says and grabs Serena's hand and starts to walk inside. Kaelyn runs off down the road towards the Pokémon lab. Before she gets there she says hello to her friend but keeps on running wondering what Professor Oak had to talk about to her parents.

Chapter 1 - A new Journey!

"Wow! This airport is sooo big!!" Kaelyn shouts running off the airplane and inside the terminal with Pikachu. "Yeah it is." Serena says in awe. "Kaelyn don't get too far." Ash says catching up to the two girls. Pikachu turns around and Kaelyn runs back saying sorry and grabs Ash's hand. "But there's so many people.." Kaelyn says whimpering.

Kaelyn turned out to be a shy girl. She isn't comfortable around too many people. Ash and Serena found this out during the Pokémon league and the Grand Festival over in Kanto. "Hey it'll be alright. You got me and daddy to stay with you." Serena says with a soothing voice and Kaelyn smiles.

They three make their way through the crowds and eventually make their way outside. "Wow. So this is Lumiose City huh." Ash says looking around while seeing a large tower. "And that's where the gym is. That's Prism Tower" Serena adds pointing to it.

"But before we do anything we have to find the Professor. What's his name again?" Ash asks wondering. "Professor Oak says his name is Professor Sycamore." Kaelyn answers with a sweet smile. "Right. Well where should we look first?" Serena asks wondering having no idea where to look.

"Well lets walk around. Maybe someone else knows." Ash says grabbing Serena's hand. Kaelyn was holding his left hand and Serena holding his right hand. Pikachu hops onto his shoulder. They all start to walk away from the airport into the city. As they walk Serena slowly begins to lean against Ash putting her head on his shoulder.

Every time they pass a group of people Kaelyn hides her face in Ash's arm and whimpers softly. Eventually they reach a park and walk around. "Well we can't find it." Serena whines looking up to Ash. "Oh cmon, what's our rule?" Ash says looking down at her. "Don't give up until it's over!" Kaelyn says happily and giggles.

"That's right." Ash and Serena say and both laugh. "Well where else should we look?" Ash asks looking around. "Ashy I'm tired of walking! We've been walking for hours!" Serena complains sitting on the ground. "Kaelyn is younger and you are the one that's complaining." Ash says with a chuckle.

"Alright we can rest for a little bit." Ash and Kaelyn sit next to Serena and relax. Pikachu was running around still being energetic. "Well we need to find a place to look." Ash mentions looking up at the blue sky. "Oh my gosh! Look it's a Pikachu!" The three hear a little girl yell.

That is what would've been of The Journey Begins - The Kalos Arc. Honestly I enjoyed writing these chapters a little, but if history repeats, I'll get burnt out of it. Who knows. Perhaps I'll rewrite the bad final chapters of this story. Again, Who knows. I'll probably try to come to The Kalos Arc after I finish the Together Trilogy, the Be Mine stories, and Payback. That'll be a long time from now.
