Those sweet little moments never seemed to end, and I loved it. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Props to everyone who is in charge of the Matching Process. They honestly did change my life. And as I prepare to marry the man of my dreams, I am eternally grateful.
"Bria, are you almost ready?" my mother asked.
Nodding, I carefully stood up from my makeup chair, and removed the large sheet covering my dress.
"You look absolutely stunning darling," she sighed taking my hands. "Liam is one lucky guy,"
After giving each one of my bridesmaids a quick hug, Jackie pulled me aside.
"I can't believe this day is here! You're marrying the boy that showed up at our door in the rain almost two years ago,"
"I can't either," I shook my head slowly to ensure that my hair and veil wouldn't move out of place.
"Alright everyone! We're lining up!" My wedding planner called over all of the noise in the room.
Jackie helped hold up my dress a bit so I could walk over to the ceremony site. Liam and I were going to be married on the lawn at the country club his parents were members of. We were about o leave the bridal suite and head out to the ceremony. I was actually marrying the man of my dreams today.
My father appeared beside me. My breath hitched inside of me. I was about to walk down that aisle. In a matter of seconds it seemed, my entire bridal party was finished down the aisle. It was my turn. I felt like I was going to throw up and cry all at the same time. Then, once I got close enough, I saw Liam waiting for me at the end. His smile was reassuring and my nerves seemed to dissipate. Confidence replaced the feelings.
Liam was and is perfect for me. I didn't need waste my time on anyone else. I could never love anyone as much as him. Not even Harry. Yes, my relationship with Liam will be forever effected by our experiences, but we're stronger because of it. I know we are.
Finally, I was standing next to my future husband.
"You look absolutely beautiful," Liam whispered softly in my ear as soon as my father gave him my hand.
I blushed and the minister began. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Bria Julianne Chapman and Liam James Payne. Together, we're a group of the most important people in their lives and they've brought us here to publically recognize that we've all played some special part in the love they share today."
After just minutes into the ceremony, I looked over at my mum and she was crying. I knew she would be.
"May I have the rings please?" The minister asked. "Liam, please take Bria's hand and repeat these words. I give you this ring, as a symbol of our love,"
"I give you this ring, as a symbol of our love," Liam repeated.
"For today and tomorrow, and for all the days to come," the minister continued.
"For today and tomorrow, and for all the days to come,"
"Wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day,"
"Wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day,"
"And know that my love is present,"
"And know that my love is present,"
"Even when I am not."
"Even when I am not." Liam took my hand and slid the gold band onto my shaking finger.
"Bria, please take Liam's hand." The minister told me. "And repeat these words,"
I repeated exactly what the minister said and placed my ring on Liam's finger. Now it was finally time to seal the deal.
"Bria and Liam you have professed your love by exchanging your vows. You have symbolized your commitment by exchanging rings. With all of this there is just one more question I need each of you to answer and then we're off to the reception to celebrate," The minister turned to me.
I took a deep breath ready to answer.
"Bria, do you take Liam to be your husband; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?"
"I do," I nodded through tears.
"Liam do you take Bria to be your wife; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"
"I do,"
"By the power vested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife. Liam you may kiss your bride!"
Liam grinned at me and leaned in for the picture perfect kiss. The guests all stood and cheered as I kissed my husband for the very first time.
"It's my great honor and privilege to be the first to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Liam James Payne!"
