Chapter 37

"Zandra why are you so beautiful?" Joel asked while he is resting his head on the palm of his hands.

"It's all from my mother genes." I shrugged.

"Your mother is very beautiful. But not as beautiful as you." He said smiling which made me blush.

"Oh shut up Joel." I said covering my face with my hands.

"Nooo remove those lovely hands, I want to see your beautiful face." He said as he gently grabbed my wrist and slide them away so he could see me. "Perfect." He said still smiling.

I smile at him before I started to look around. I see a pregnant lady with two kids seem to be struggling. I got up and decided to help her.

"Hello madam um do you need some help there?" I asked the lady.

"Oh yes, can you help me get those two kiddos in the stroller please." She asked.

"Yes of course." I approached to the little boy and girl who were I assume playing tag.

"Hey kiddos. Want to do me a favor?" I asked.

"Mommy said not to talk to strangers." The little boy said.

"Well then if you don't want strangers to talk to you you should probably go to your mother who will protect you." I said. They then walked back to their mother.

"Thank you so much!" She said.

"You are very welcome. Are they twins?" I asked.

"No they are best friends. The girls father is my childhood and still currently my best friend."

"Really? They kind of remind me when my best friend, well now currently boyfriend, and I were little."

"Yes and once you guys will get older your heart will start breaking." She said which seems in a disappointed tone.

"What do you mean miss?" I asked confusedly now looking up at her.

"My best friend and I were dating just like you guys. But over time things and feelings change. I'm still heart broken and I still love him, but he has a wife now and I have a lovely husband." She sighed.

"Oh, well I mean at least your happy. Right?" I smiled.

"Yes but happy with the wrong person." she said rubbing her tummy.

"Mommy could we go on rides now?" The little boy asked.

"Yes sweetie. We should get going now, again thank you." She said then left with the kids.

I walked back to Joel who was also ready to leave. "Ready my love?" He said as he offered my hand. I rejected his offered and hug him tightly while resting my head on his chest.

"You love me right?" I asked.

"Of course. What makes you-"

"So much that you think we will last forever?" I said cutting him off.

"So much that I know that we will stay together forever." He then pushed my lightly so he could kiss me.

"I love you Joel." I said once again hugging him.

"I love you more Zandra." He kissed my forehead.

*Yoandri's POV*
"No Finding Nemo is better!" She said.

"No Monsters Inc. Is!" I yelled back.

"Finding Nemo is way better because they're little fishes and shows how a father go through whatever it takes to bring his son back home." She said now explaining.

"I still disagree with you babe. Monsters Inc. Is way better because it shows how best friends still have each others back no matter what. And also shows that not all monsters are mean. Plus who likes talking fishes? Fishes don't even talk!" I said making a left turn.

"MONSTERS DON'T EVEN EXIST!" She yelled back. I just stayed silent. She grabbed my chin to force me to look at her. I press the breaks since its a red light.

"Not saying anything because I'm right huh?" She said smirking.

"Shut up Soledad. I'm driving." I said now looking at the road.

"Excuse me sir, its Sol." She said.

"Newsflash your real name is called Soledad and I have the right to call you that." I said now lightly laughing.

"Shut up Yoandri." She said giggling.

"Make me." I said now looking at her since were at Taco Bell's drive through.

"Fine I will." She took off her seatbelt and unexpectedly kissed me, again again and again.

"Whoa. Creative." I said.

"Thanks." She said now looking out her window. I love her.

"Really?" She asked.

"Did I say that allowed?" I asked.

"Mhm." She hummed. "I love you to Yoandri." She said now playing with her nails. I couldn't help but smile really big. I started to lean in to her but then-

"Hello welcome to Taco Bell, may I take your order." I sighed in frustration because I never get to make the first move.

*Zandra's pov*
We are now watching the parade together. While I was looking around seeing kids faces glow up, I see someone who seems really familiar. A face that I never wanted to see again.

"Joel." I said shaking his arm starting to panic.

"What's wrong Zandra." He asked concerned.

"Joel its her." I said still shaking his arm and staring at her.

"Who Zandra?"

"Anna." I said.

"Oh I know she's right there in the parade." He said.

"No! Anna!" I said. "Joel she's there. She's here." I said trying to catch my breath.

"Zandra. Clam down she's not here she's in jail." He said grabbing my shoulders.

"No Joel they never captured her, she's right there!" I said now tears starting to come out. He looked over and shook her head.

"You're seeing things Zandra. Let's go home." He said grabbing my hand. I swear I saw her. All the memories from that day started to come back. All the memories I don't ever want to relive.

"Joel she's here." I whispered. While he started the car.

"No she isn't Zandra. She's not here. Why out of all places will she come here when she knows everyone is looking for her, especially the cities where we live." I didn't say anything back. Her image is stuck in my head.
