Are you sure this looks okay? I ask my mom as she steps back from helping me adjust my straps. She nods her head. "Yes honey, stop worrying. You look very sexy!" She said with a giggle.
"Ew" I said wrinkling my nose as looked toward the mirror.
"What? A mother is not aloud to say that to her daughter? It's just a compliment. Look at my baby girl all grown up" she said with a sigh at the end.
I was pretty impressed by how good I looked. I was wearing that silky pastel pink dress Nina got me. It fit me perfectly, it went a little above mid thigh, was tight and let my cleavage stick out. Which I was not quite comfortable with but it is what it is. I was also wearing a pair my moms earrings that best matched the bracelet Leo got me, with a pair of silver pumps. I was wearing a bit more makeup than usual. I decided to do a smokey eye that turned out surprisingly well, and curled my hair, pulling it half up, half down.
I felt pretty confident in my attire. "Now you know the rules, right?" My mom asked, which snapped me out of my thoughts. "Huh?" I asked as I squirted on some Chanel.
"You know? If a guy buys you a drink, you don't drink it because it might be drugged, you don't go home with anyone except for Leo, you don't drink to much so you're able to drive home if you need to, you don't ge-"
"Yeah mom, I know, I know. I was given this whole talk in an assembly in ninth grade" I said as I opened the door.
My moms lips curved into a warming smile as she reached out to hug me. "Just don't get into to much trouble"
"I promise I won't"
I grabbed my silver clutch and then we both made our way down stairs. I looked down over the railing and saw Frank wearing his usual sleeping attire, a grey or black tee shirt and his plaid green and blue pajama bottoms with a blue robe wrapped around him. And Leo stood down there not as dressed up as I thought he would be. He was wearing a oversized brown tee shirt with red plaid flannel and a pair of jeans that were a size to big. Was I going to be to dressed up for this thing? No. Nina has been to plenty of these things to know how to dress and this what she told me to wear.
Frank looked at me as I walked down the stairs. He looked a bit concerned mixed with anger. He's probably not happy with the way I look, he's pretty much a father figure to me and is over protective like one. Leo noticed Frank look past his shoulders so her turned around and looked up. He eyebrows raised and lips lightly parted. "Wow uh you look.. wow" he said as he gulped.
This was not the reaction I was expecting, I mean sure I expected him to compliment me but he looked at me as if Tyra Banks had just walked in.
"Oh, don't to tell me that, I know I do" my mom said jokingly which made me cringe. She's really gotta lay off drinking wine at night.
Leo laughed, and reached out his hand to me, guiding me off the stairs. "You really do look gorgeous" he whispered. Which made my cheeks flush a bright red color.
"alright see you later" mom said as she squatted down on the couch.
"Love you guys" I called out.
"Love you more, have fun" mom called out to us.

We pulled up to the Sunset Strip. I looked around out my window. This reminds me so much of New York, all of the people walking around, the big buildings, the lights! I saw a man in one area playing the saxophone while bystanders watched in awe. There was a woman doing a live puppet show in another area, which caused me to slightly giggle since I had a fear of puppets till the age of nine. It was always so creepy to me that had a hand inside them controlling all of there movements.
