Rushing quickly into the bathroom next to Ninas bedroom, I slammed the door behind me. I was shaking. Why was I still so afraid to be near him? Come on Lucy, that was years ago. I kept repeating in my head as I starred in the mirror.

I was repeatedly biting my bottom lip until the skin near it turned into a bright red. Oh great, my face will match my shirt.

I took a quick swig of the beer still in my hand from earlier and placed my hand on the door knob. There standing in front of me was a man turned away looking around, he had a black beanie on, a big grey jacket and jeans.

"Uh, excuse me" I said under my breath as I rushed past him, hoping it wasn't James.

"L" The man shouted from behind me, sounding relieved. This wasn't just any man, it was Leo!

I turned to him as my eyes grew to the size of UFOs. "You scared the shit out of me Leo!" I said in shock as I went up and wrapped my arms around him. He smelled like cigarettes and sweat, how pleasant. He hugged me back and tightly at that. I then realized what I was doing and quickly let go and stepped back. I don't know what took over me to do that. I've just had a long night.

"There's a party and you didn't invite your ol' pal Leo" he said shaking his while chewing on a toothpick.

"Well I sorta didn't know about-" I began and was interrupted.

"I guess I really did piss you off huh? Well I'm going to make it up to you" he said quickly before I could cut in.

"Thought you didn't even like parties or dressing up and I mean you look great" he continued. Not even replying to what he was saying I started babbling on.

"I'm so glad you're here, I've had to deal with a lot tonight and I just want to get out of here" I said as I grabbed his wrist and began walking down the hall. Again like I said, I have no clue what's taken over me, maybe the beer?

I pressed my ear up against Ninas door to see if I could hear anything, and I could. Just Ross and her bickering about something, of course they couldn't get along, they've been like this for years.

I rolled my eyes and made me way down the stairs, still with my grip around Leo's wrists, which were surprisingly small. I tried to get outside before I could run into anyone I knew.

And then it happened, I smacked right into the name who shall not be said. I stepped back and looked down at me. Not much has changed with his looks, still as beautiful as ever, but I was not at all attracted to that beauty, he was more of a beast in my eyes. Not only from what he did to me but what he did to all other girls.

"Sorry" he said as he continued walking but then stopped in his tracks, and swiftly turned around.

"You look familiar" he said walking towards me with a smirk across his face. That smirk I had seen a thousand times as a naïve sixteen year old girl.

"Yeah well you don't" I said with a pissed off smile, and then turned to continue out the house.

"Nina" he asked confused as he ran up toward me. Had I really changed that much since high school? For him not to recognize me?

I pretended not to hear as I continued running.

"Damn, it is Nina" he said as he ran and followed Leo and I.

"L, L, L, L" Leo continued saying as we were running through the house. I guess I have a new nickname. "L, who's that guy?" Leo asked as we finally pushed passed everyone and made it to the front porch.

"Sorry about that Leo. Just some guy I used to kinda date" I said with the beer still wrapped in tightly between my fingers, almost empty from spilling as we ran. I took one last drink and then handed the can to Leo.

"Thought you didn't date?" Leo asked as he leaned against the wooden railing.

"Yeah well he was basically the only one. It's a long story, don't want to bore you"

Leo beamed him mouth into a kind smile. "Come one, I love your stories"

I then explained everything to Leo about James. Leo stood quietly as he listened intently, with apologetic looks on his face.

"Wow. What a weirdo, man. Well listen, you're too good for him. You were then and you are now. Don't pay him any attention" Leo said as he inches closer. I felt my heart began to race, harder and harder. Leo was always so perfect at comforting me, at telling me exactly what I wanted to hear. The crescent moon shined down its beautiful silver lights onto his face. Sculpting out his features, in an illuminating way.

Leo leaned in toward me, my hands began to slightly shake, as the cold beer started to warm up from my nerves, making my whole body feel like a thousand static's forming in and out. Leo's beautiful smile flowed as it slowly turned into a pucker. His hand stretching out around my waist.

Oh my god, he's about to kiss me. Kiss me? I've been waiting for this for so long, who knew it would be happening right now? After what happened last night? What about his girlfriend? I couldn't even think straight.

His face so close to mine I could smell the fresh cigarette that he has probably lit up before coming in tonight. I could see the shadows around his face, sparkling. I knew that when we kissed I would feel deeper and deeper for him, it was almost scary, knowing the pain I could endure. His lips brushed against mine, they were so soft and sweet. My eyes slowly fell back as I shut them, I could feel my heart beating so hard, he could probably hear it. It seemed as if I hadn't kissed anyone before, it felt so new and so different. I began to want more but he quickly turned away when the front door swung open.

"Woah woah woah, I don't remember you kissing like that Lucille" James said smoking a joint.

"Oh shit" I huffed. Here we go.
