Summer Break (A Leonardo DiCaprio fanfic)

Chapter Four

It had been a few days since Leo started staying here and I had barley seen him, he's been gone a lot working or out with friends. I also haven't really talked to him since that night we played Barbie with Madi. We've only had small talk with each other and that's about it.

I was planning on having lunch with an old friend of mine from high school today, we haven't really talked since we both went to college. She got accepted into a college here in L.A and I got accepted into one up in New York.

I quickly took a shower a stepped out onto the mat and stared at myself in the steamed mirror as I put on my bra and underwear. I struggled as I reached my hand down to grab my clothes, so I looked down only to find that they weren't there. I cursed to myself as I stepped out in the hallway.

I looked around to make sure no one was near, so I began walking to my bed room. I glanced into the room Leo was staying in when I noticed my book was on the blue love seat, "why did he have my book?" I wondered to myself, I probably left it down in the living room and he must have grabbed it.

I was bent over grabbing the book when I heard the door swing open and Leo's voice tremble and say "Oh uh-"

I gasped and cut him off with "Sorry, I was just um... well I noticed I had left my book in here and I was walking by and... I'll leave, I'll go" I said nervously wrapping my arms around my chest.

He nodded as I ran out the door into the hall. I felt completely embarrassed, I didn't have time to think in there, all I could do was babble. I took a few deep breaths as I stood next to his door when all of the sudden the door opened and there was Leo walking out.

Here I am again getting embarrassed. He had a startled expression on his face when he noticed me. I gulped and without a word ran into my room and slammed the door shut! I slumped onto my bed and felt like I could just cry. I get embarrassed very easily, and who wouldn't be embarrassed after a boy whom you barley knew saw you almost naked.

I pulled myself together and stood up to get dressed. "C'mon you don't want to be late" I whispered to myself as I slipped on my spaghetti strapped maroon cloth dress with black rose designs all over it, with a pair of black leather high top converses, and did my usual makeup routine, pinkish/brown lipstick, cat eye liner, with nude colored eyeshadow. I lastly squirted some strawberry perfume on and tied my hair up in a maroon colored scrunchy. (In the picture above)

I arrived at the restaurant about five minutes late, I noticed Nina sitting at a booth toward the back of the place, she had bronze skin color, with an afro type hair and was very petite, and was wearing a lime green turtle neck dress. We had been friends for I think nine years, she was the first person I met when we moved to L.A that was actually nice to me. All through out high school we were attached to the hip. Even though I didn't have a lot of friends at least I had a best friend.

When she noticed me she jumped up out of her chair and we both started squealing and telling each other how much we missed each other. Everyone around us were looking at as like we were freaks, well I mean we were acting like ones.

We sat and talked for a while about college, high school memories, guys, dating ect. "Do you remember when we used to act like we were in TLC, you were Left Eye, I was T-Boz and Nattily was Chilli?" Nina asked and then began laughing.

"Yeah I do, we all had such huge dreams about becoming a girl singing group when we grew up and not realizing at the time how terrible we sung, how is Nattily anyway?"

"She's engaged to some doctor" Nina said rolling her eyes.

"A doctor? Damn she's lucky, she's getting married, she'll be rich. Why won't luck work out for me that way?" I asked and then took a bite of my BLT sandwich.

"I dunno, I'm sure you'll find prince charming someday, you're only twenty you don't need to worry about that to much yet. By the way uh you mentioned earlier a boy staying with you?"

I had completely forgot about that. I let it slip out, I don't know if I was aloud to tell anyone about Leo staying with us. But she was my best friend, I could tell her about this? Right?

"Oh yeah well uh, ok you promise not tell anyone about this? Not even your... your uh, your sixth grade imaginary boyfriend!"

"I promise" she said leaning in with her eyes widening of excitement.

"Well there's this guy staying with us for the summer, he's in one of the films my dads- uh I mean step dads working on. His names Leo, Leonardo-" before I could finish she interrupted with "DICAPRIO!?"

I nodded and motioned her to sh.

"Oh he's so freaking hot! Did you see him in Romeo and Juliet? Or in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? What about The Basketball Diaries?" She said rushing her words together.

"Uh no I've never seen any of his work, I didn't know he was such a big deal"

"Oh he's a big deal, well at least to me. We'll stop by my house and I'll let you barrow those three movies"

I nodded and watched her face, it was like she was already planning their wedding in her head. I know Nina, and when she likes someone she goes and gets them and I'm not about to let that happen!
