I honked when my car was two meters away from our gate. Our guard opened it and I sped off to our driveway. I saw my mom waiting for me at the top of the stairs. I gave my keys to one of our maid and ran towards my mom.

"Hi Mom!" I greeted her with less enthusiasm.

"What's the problem baby? Did something happen? "Mom inquired. We walked together and sat on our sofa.

"It's nothing mom. The chancellor will have a graduation ball for us. "

"Oh. That's good! I will contact your godmother for your gown and for your hair and makeup. Oh my! I'm so excited. Wait here, I'll just get my phone."

Then she rushed to their room. This is what I expected to be her reaction. I sighed and stared at our chandelier. I'm not fond of parties.

Whenever my parents attended a party and asked me if I want to go with them, I would always say no to them saying that I'm too lazy to go and prefer to watch my rerun dramas than to socialize with fake people.

But when we were really needed, I just force myself and deal with the party.

I went to our kitchen and drank water. I felt exhaustion. I wanted to lay down on my bed and sleep.

I heard my mom giggling and calling my name. I found her where we sat earlier. She motioned her phone and asked me to join her.

"Yes yes. I am excited na. Alam mo naman na minsan ko lang makita ang anak ko na mag-ayos. I know right." She was still with her phone and whispered my godmother's name.

I heard my dad's car and my brothers'. This will be a long night.

"Good evening princess." I kissed my dad's cheek and returned his greetings.

"Who's your mom talking to?" he glared mom's direction and I just chuckled.

"You guess dad." I teased him. He still gets jealous whenever mom is on her phone. He glared at me and I laughed. It's so easy to tease dad.

"Antiope Royce" Dad said my name in a warning.

Oh Dad.

"Dad, it's just my godmother Danamarie. We will be having a grad ball and mom talking to her to plan out the design of my gown."

He relaxed after hearing my explanation. He went to my mom then kissed her. Mom needed to hold the call for dad didn't let her escape his kisses.

I rolled my eyes. They kissed for minutes. I made faces when they finally realized that they were not alone. I heard my dad telling mom that they will continue later. I acted like I was throwing up.

"When will be your grad ball baby?"

I told the date then she continued talking to my godmother.

"Dad, I'm going to my room now. I want to take a nap. Ring me when it's time for dinner please."

I took my leave after dad nodded his head. I lay on my bed and drifted to sleep.

Dad knocked after an hour for dinner. I freshened up and went downstairs.

Ako na lamang ang hinihintay sa hapagkainan.

Mom talked again about her plans for my grad ball and warned my brothers to stay away from the venue.

They groaned and mumbled something but nodded in the end.
