"Wake up Liz." Mar said nudging my shoulder. I groaned and rolled onto my stomach trying to go back to bed. "Liz, come on now. Don't make me get a bucket of water."
"I'll hang you by your toes." I threatened placing a vector on the bathroom door and the room door.
"Really now? Fine, well finally see which is stronger. Vector vs. me." He said going to the bathroom door. I cracked a smirk and rolled over to watch. He gripped the handle with both hands and pulled with all he was worth. Then he even tried using his Nen to open it up. When that didn't work he braced a foot on the wall. "Awe fuck!" He groaned still trying. He went flying backwards onto the floor handle in hand. He had pulled the handle right off the door.
"Omg, Mar! We're going ro have to pay for that!" I laughed lifting him back up to his feet with my vectors.
"I don't give a shit about the damn door!" Mar growled trying to bat my vectors away. Of course his attempts were all in vain. "Get these damn things off of me!" He yelled getting red in the face. I immediately yanked my vectors away from him and curled them up behind me. He calmed down and let off a deep sigh.
"Sorry." I squeaked getting up from the bed.
"No, it's okay. Sorry for yelling at you about them. Guess I shouldn't get upset at you for my own weakness." He grumbled plopping down on a chair.
"I shouldn't flaunt it so much. If it weren't for these things I wouldn't be so tough." I said shaking my head.
"Yeah but then again, if I didn't know how to use Nen neither would I. It's all fair game." He reasoned looking up at the ceiling. I went to the restroom and got ready to leave. We were currently looking for another hunter job. Some folks had told us of a place plagued by angry spirits. These spirits where lethal in their attacks and so far two hunters have died trying to get rid of them.
"So? Big ass old time town surrounded by a thousand acres of swamps? Foggy day and people with the 'we don't like strangers in our town' attitude. Well ain't this just the most charmingly creepy town you've ever been it. Save for something a kin to a ghost town." I commented as we passed a old man who was giving us judging look on the road.
"Oh yeah, can we talk about the fucking humidity percentage in the air? I feel like I'm walking through a constant mist over here." Mar complained whipping the sweet off his brow.
"Well, we could talk about it but what good will it do us? Now, according to that old lady we should be half way there." I said changing the subject quickly.
"Good, I don't feel like camping out in this shit." He grumbled. I sighed loudly taking out a wash cloth to whip my face to rid it of the sweet that had accumulated. We were so close to reaching the damn town when a rock came flying out. It hit me in the middle of my forehead with such force that my vision flashed black for a moment. "What the!" I yelped rubbing at the spot that was hurt. My vectors became almost completely numb making me panic.
"Hey look at what we have here, I didn't know you traveled this far clown." Mar said. I blinked rapidly regaining my sight and shit my head up to see Hisoka standing in the middle of the road ahead of us.
"I could say the same thing about Lizzy Bear here." He said grin getting bigger as he said my nick name.
"What the fuck did you do to me you phycotic Jester!" I spat still rubbing furiously at my forehead trying to regain feeling in my vectors.
"Just a little trick I picked up, I didn't wish for you to run away before I could have my fun." He explained.
"What fun would that be?" Mar smirked releasing his blood lust.
