That night I woke up again at the same time to scratching and tapping at my window. The noises continued for another hour and then I heard a crack then another one. I realized that the cracks were coming from the window the next thing I knew the window was being smashed to pieces.
I heard Jack running down the hall screaming.
"Mary what's happening are you okay." He screamed sounding panicked.
I quickly got out of bed to open the door but before I could I saw a long black arm reaching into the window. I screamed and it retreated back into the darkness.
I opened the door to see Jack in tears with a scared look on his face.
"Are you okay?" He asked as he went to hug me.
"I'm fine." I said as I hugged him.
"Go into my room and wait for me I'm going to check out you window." Jack said as he walked into my room.
I walked into his room and sat down on the desk chair. Jack walked into the room with a blank expression on his face.
"Do you think that was what took dad?" I asked.
" I think so but I am not a hundred percent sure. But tomorrow I'm going to find out what that was." He said as he sat down on his bed.
"But for now let's get some rest. Go in moms room and you can sleep
on the couch in her room." Jack said as he laid down to go to bed.
