The next day Jack took the day off of work and pulled me out of school. He said that we were going to the library then to the store to get stuff to fix my window.

"Let's go we don't have all day!" Jack whined as I got out of the car.

"Calm your tits. I'm getting out just wait a minute."

" I'll calm my tits when you get out of the car we have to go. We have an appointment with one of the members of the library in 5 minutes."

" okay, I'm coming." I said as I grabbed my bag from the back of the car.

As we walked into the library I noticed the vacant receptionist desk which was weird because their was always a sad middle aged lady who worked there. I lag behind and walk over to the history books trying to find one about the thing that tried to take me.

"Mary let's go Mr. Begal is waiting for us." Jack  said as he walked over to the hallway leading to the offices.

I longed to stay behind to find information for myself  but decided to go see what Mr. Begal had to say. I walked hastily to catch up with Jack as he was turning a corner and u didn't want to lose him.

We finally reached the office that Mr. Begal was in, Jack knocked on the door and the librarian opened the door right away. He ushered us in and shut the door tightly behind us.

"Alright kids what do you guys need to know because I know everything from when this crap started to who started it." Mr. Begal said as he walked to his desk and gestured for us to sit down.

Jack was first to speak " One of those things tried to take Mary last night and I need to know why."

" l see" said Mr. Begal " from my research these things only go after people that have seen them before."

"So your saying I've seen one of those things before." I said barely able to get the words out I was so shaken up.

" Yes and no, you could have seen one as a young child or it's coming after you because of your father."

A loud knock came from the office door. I looked up to see the most well built handsome boy standing in the doorway who looked around my age. Mr. Begal's voice brought me out of my dazed state.

" Oh Dean your here early why don't you go wait near the front I'll be ready to go soon."

Dean left the room and headed to the front of the library. I felt a jab in my side and saw Jack looking at me with a smirk on his face. Oh how I wish I could slap it off of him right now.

" Sorry kids but I'm going to have to cut this meeting short my nephew is here. His parents just died and I'm taking him in. He just got here so I have to go make sure he is settled in." Mr. Begal said as he stood up to go.

"Thank you so much for taking the time to see us." Jack said as we left.
