Simeneon was jolted out of sleep as the plane came to a stop just a few feet from the terminal. "Thank Heavens." She said as she wiped the sleep from her eyes. Even though she had slept for a couple of hours she was still exhausted.
Wearily sitting up she caught a glance at her watch, "Oh my gosh it's five in the morning."
"Excuse me miss but you should really change you watch." The stewardess said. "Remember that we're seventeen hours ahead of The City of Great Steel. So it's actually ten o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, not Monday."
"No wonder I'm so tired." She sighed.
As the plane began to disembark Simeneon stood up from her seat and groaned, as her legs were a mass of knots and cramps. She moved down the aisle noticing that everyone was gone from the plane and she was alone. The stewardess stood by the front of the door and waved goodbye as Simeneon stepped from the plane to the tarmac below.
The cool breeze was the first to hit her and she relished in the freshness of being out in the real world again. She sighed. Feeling better she strode with her bag hanging behind her and entered the double doors to the terminal.
'Talk about deserted.' She thought to herself as she looked around. Spots of people were scattered all over the huge area but they too disappeared with as she walked down the linoleum hall.
A million thoughts ran through her head. She didn't know why she had stayed on the plane even though her business was a thousand miles away. They had made five different stops in four different countries, but yet she still stayed on the plane, why was that? Something told her to stay even though she knew the trip back would be long and strenuous.
Moving slowly down the long linoleum hall wondering what she was going to do now. Trying to think clearly she knew she had to find somewhere to stay. She looked around in an effort to find an information station and sighed when she saw it at the end of the long walkway.
Picking up her pace she made it to the kiosk in a matter of minutes. She dropped her bag and leaned heavily against the side of the wooden cabinet. She was even more tired than she had originally thought. All she wanted at this moment was a warm bath and a comfortable bed.
"Excuse me, ma'am?" Simeneon asked the lady stuck behind a magazine in the kiosk.
"Uh. Oh my lord! Please excuse my ignorance dear, I didn't see you there!" The black haired woman with a broad smile asked. She stood up quickly letting her shoulder length hair fall in front of her eyes. She swiped it away with an anxious swoop pushed it behind her ears.
"That's alright, Could you help me find a hotel to stay in?" She asked sleepily.
"You do look a little weary my dear. Please let old Minerva help you out!" She picked up the phone under the cabinet too and as the phone rang on the other end she smiled. "George it's Minerva, I have a favor to ask. There's a beautiful young lady standing before me that needs a room badly, can you send over a car to pick her up? Wouldn't want her taken the trolley over there, she might get lost. You can, thanks, love."
She hung up the phone and smiled, "You're all set dear."
Simeneon grinned. "You've been more than kind, thank you very much."
"My pleasure, why don't we go over to the bench over there and sit for awhile I can still see the kiosk, we can talk." She pointed at a small bench near the wall and directed Simeneon over.
Simeneon knew she was in good hands and she felt a little relieved to know that she had to do very little this time. Minerva had made all the arrangements, and even though she found it hard to trust anyone she just met she felt something different in her.
