The soft glow of the moon filtering through the trees cast an eerie blue light that put the path in deep shadow. A whiff of wind brought the scent of wildflowers into the expanse of trees making Fin smile. It seemed to him that everything he was hoping for was coming true. He had tried desperately to find the silver pyramid and for the first time he knew he was close, the past frustrations now only a distant memory.

'I would not get so smug, there is still much to do.' The small ghost said as they walked down the path.

"How... did you? How did you know what I was thinking?" He asked in surprise.

'You must know that your life is an open book to many now. Since you have become part of the search for the keys there is many that can read your thoughts. Beware what you let your mind slip, other can use that against you.'

Fin felt the chills run up and down his back as thoughts of others reading his mind made him cringe. There was a lot he had seen in the last year or so that could back up the little girl's claim. He knew he would have to be extra careful to not think about the others, if anyone knew where they were and what they were up to, they could be in mortal danger.

He shook his head to get the images out of his head and concentrated on where the two of them were going. The soft crunching under his feet brought him back all the way and the cool breeze made him feel alive more than he had in ages.

A gap in the trees up ahead came into view and he could hear the incredible sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks far below. They broke the trees and Fin gasped in awe.

It was beautiful.

From a top of a cliff, a large lagoon spread across the horizon like something out of tourist brochure. It was the most amazing scene Fin had ever seen. A beach with the whitest sand and as wide as a highway, stretched for hundreds of yards in both directions. Oversized trees surrounded and filled the area nestling the lagoon away from the prying eyes of any tourists that could happen upon it

Fin felt like he was seeing something that no one else had ever seen before, and he wouldn't have been far from the truth since they were miles from the main roads that fed the island. He could have stood there all night and all day taking in the beautiful scenery but the little girl grabbed hold of his hand again and began leading him towards another area that would lead to the bottom of the cliffs and the beach below.

"What have we to do now?" He asked nervously.

'The spirits of the waves await you.' She said casually.

"-And what if I don't want to see these spirits now?"

'You must fulfill your destiny.' She said quietly then led him down a small embankment slowly winding down to the sand.

The moment they stepped upon the cool sand he pulled her back so her little face was looking at him again.

"-And what is my destiny?" He asked as the fear started spreading across his face again.

The small girl smiled and gave his hand a squeeze. 'Do not fear the future my friend, all will work itself out in time. Just ask the question that has been in your mind for a long time now.'

Fin turned to look out to sea and stared at the moon as it shown in sparkles off the rippling water. He knew what he wanted to ask but the fear inside began to take him over with greater speed now.

"What is it I have-" He turned around quickly hoping to get the ghosts opinion.

The girl was gone.
