⚔Castor Cruz⚔
I sat in my bay window doing the English homework. I called, "What did you get for twenty?"
Leila sighed, "Do your own work."
"Annoying you is so much more fun though," I teased. She gets cute when she's annoyed. Actually, no. She's cute all the time.
Leila muttered, "The answer is Aunt Alexandra."
"Thanks, Barbie," I chuckled. Barbie again? Ethan needs to teach me some more control.
Speak of the devil and he shall come. My door opened and my best friend leaned against my doorframe casually. But he looked out of breath.
"Ethan?"
He grinned and sat on my bed, "Let's just say that if the cops come and ask for a boy that flipped off a guard at a shop, he isn't here."
Leila murmured, "Own up to your actions..."
Ethan grumbled something about models.

I stared at the glossy bike, "Is this a joke?"
My mum and Tanya stood behind me as I gave the Harley a once-over. It was gorgeous. Mum said, "We know how much you've wanted one... so consider this your combined Christmas and birthday present from the both of us."
I didn't hesitate but threw my arms around the mothers, stepping back quickly to reclaim my manhood. I knelt down beside the bike and ran a hand over it. It was sleek, black and majestic. A Harley Davidson 2016 Iron 883. Perfect. Mum chucked me a helmet, "Go get your license and give it a test ride."
I smiled brightly again at the best friends and ran into the house.
I picked up my wallet from the cabinet near the door and hurried outside. I strapped up my helmet and mounted the bike. I kicked it off it's stand and flew down the street, taking the neighbourhood corner quickly. The engine was so powerful I could feel it throughout my entire body. The sounds emanating from it were beautiful. Leila would love this.
I slowed down considerably. Would she? Yeah.
I took a U-Turn straight back for the Perez' household. I slowed down onto the curb. I felt like my stomach had just vanished.
I stared with open eyes at the dude that had just gotten out of the passenger's seat of the yellow Porsche in her driveway. He was lean and fit. A word that girls would use would be hot. I twisted my nose up.
The front door opened and Leila was squealing, rushing out. She looked so believably happy in that moment that I forgot I was looking at this as a third person.
Leila rushed into the guy's arms, "Trent! Oh my god!"
I frowned and took off on my motorcycle loudly, not looking back. I lost track of time, thinking about what I'd just seen.
Was Leila dating that guy? Have they dated before? Is that guy her older brother? Cousin? Boyfriend? Why should I care anyway?
My mind rationally said that last question, but my heart screamed BECAUSE YOU IDIOT, YOU LIKE LEILA FREAKING PEREZ!
I mentally slapped my heart. I took a deep breath and rounded another corner. I was essentially creating a route around the long and intertwining streets of my neighbourhood.
As I went to pass my house again my mum called loudly, "Don't even think about it, Castor! You'll run out of fuel soon and that stuff ain't cheap!"
I looked down at my fuel percentage. Only about halfway empty. I'd refill it later this week some time. I parked it carefully in the garage and locked it. I dumped my helmet next to it and closed the garage door. Leila and the Trent guy were sitting on the hood of the Porsche. The driver looked bored out of his mind.
I would be too.
On an act of impulse I couldn't describe I called to Leila, "Leila!"
Her attention diverted to me and she smiled brightly. I raised an eyebrow. Were we ever this friendly? Who cares. "Did you see the present our mums got me?" I couldn't help but grin.
She leapt off the hood and bounced over to me, "I didn't see it, but I heard about it."
"I was going to take you for a ride," I said pointedly as I pushed open the garage door, "But you were over there with whoever that guy is."
"That's my best friend Trent," she smiled, "He's been away for a while."
Platonic. My mind screamed NO while my heart screamed YES. What the f*** does this girl do to me?
I gestured to the Harley.
She squealed and ran over to it, "It's beautiful!"
I smirked and cast an eye back to Trent. He was watching with furrowed eyebrows.
Leila righted herself and began walking back over to her place, "It is gorgeous, and you're going to have to give me a ride."
"I can give you a lot more than that," I winked. Finally, I regained my mojo.
She rolled her eye and grumbled, "Whatever."
I glanced at her and Trent once more and walked inside.

I reexplained this to Ethan later in my room. I murmured, "I just don't understand why I feel attracted to her. I'm supposed to be a player, right?"
Ethan rolled his eyes and lied down on my bed, "I can't believe you're falling for Victoria's Secret Number One Angel."
"There's more to her than that," I said slowly, "She's funny, sweet, smart and sassy."
He bolted up, "Can I get one of her?"
"Mine," I said with a threat.
He backed away, "Sorry..."
I took a deep breath, "I like her. I just... why does this have to be so confusing?!"
Ethan sighed, "Your problems, man. I'm not equipped to deal with ladies problems."
He stood up and my door opened. Zoe bounced in, "But I am!"
"Zoe, please tell me you didn't hear that," I groaned, but of course she did. The nosy little five-year-old.
Zoe grinned, "I heard everything from when she set your alarm for the photo shoot."
I wrinkled my nose.
Her eyes went wide, "I can't believe you and her wore your underwear in front of each other!"
I sighed loudly as Ethan left the room.
Zoe bounced into my lap, "Have you kissed? Because kissing is for married people."
I smirked, "No, we haven't kissed." Though I'd like to. SHUT UP HEART.
"Are you gonna kiss her?"
"I dunno," I said defensively.
