⚔Castor Cruz ⚔
I studied the clothes in my wardrobe. I needed to move them back into her room without noticing... but how?
I heard her bedroom door open and I slammed the wardrobe shut. I grabbed a book and begun reading but it didn't make any sense. I furrowed my eyes in confusion. Was I reading Greek?
"You're confused because it's upside down, Jerk," a voice giggled.
I turned the book right-way-up and mentally cursed myself, "Thanks, Mrs Obvious."
"You're welcome, Sergeant Sarcastic," she mocked.
I laughed and put the book down.

Leila was having dinner with Tanya tonight before Tanya goes back to Newcastle. The table felt empty almost without Leila.
Zoe murmured, "I vote we go have dinner with the Perezs."
Mum smirked but kept eating her pizza.
I said, "If we ate with them we wouldn't be having delicious takeaway."
"True that," Zoe laughed.
"And I wouldn't be able to speak to you guys about something," Mum began.
I looked to her with a raised eyebrow.
Mum put down her pizza and began, "Remember Alex and Sam?"
Uncle Sam was Mum's brother. We get to go to their place every Christmas holidays. Alex is my cousin.
"Yeah?" I shrugged. We only saw them nine months ago when Uncle Sam got remarried. They live in Queensland on a beach-side farm.
Zoe nodded slowly, "Uncle Sam has the red hair, right?"
"Right," Mum smiled gently, "Well... they offered for us to come up these holidays as a treat? What do you think?"
I blinked once. Twice. Then grinned, "Hell yeah!"
Alex is like a copy of me, just less funny, less hot and less charming. Mum smiled again and said, "Alex and his step-sister Stephanie will be there, but Uncle Sam said you can both bring a friend if you want? Alex will be with his buddies most of the time, and Stephanie is almost never home."
"Ethan," I said automatically.
"Sera," Zoe said instantaneously.
"But," Mum said, shooting me a glare, "We have to bring Leila, because I'm in charge of her, remember?"
"Right," I slunked back into my chair, "Sorry, Ethan."
"Hey!" Zoe pointed a finger at me, "You get two weeks with your girlfriend." Then she muttered, "Like you aren't attached at the hip already..."
God, sometimes Zoe was so dumb and then she was so smart. I smirked, "This will be fun."
Mum sighed, "Finish your dinner, and then tell Leila. We leave for the plane at five a.m. tomorrow so she'll need to be packed tonight."
*****
"We're going on vacation?" Leila asked with wide eyes.
I grinned.
"And Lucy's okay with this?" she frowned.
"She's scheduled our casting for when we get back," I winked.
Leila glanced to her mum. Tanya smiled gently, "Of course, you can go."
Leila squealed and wrapped her arms around my neck, causing me to fall back onto the ground. I laughed loudly. She was straddling my stomach. I took a deep breath and began laughing again.
Leila blushed and hurried off me with a small smile. I didn't get up. I just laughed again.
She frowned, "It wasn't that funny."
"It was," Tanya chimed.
She scowled but her face lit up quickly again and she ran up the stairs calling, "I'm gonna go pack!"
"Pack for warm weather!" I shouted.
*****
Leila knocked on our door at exactly four-fifty-five in the morning. I let her in, pretending to be oblivious to the chaos behind me. She narrowed her eyes behind me and I turned to see Zoe running around in a top and underpants as she screamed, "Mama, where are my pants?!"
I picked up some purple leggings from the ground, "Here."
I threw them at her and they landed on her head.
Leila gave a small giggle and she stepped in, "So I'm guessing you aren't ready?"
She gestured to my open but empty suitcase. I ran to it and stuffed the piles of clothes into the bag. But I couldn't zip it.
"I thought the stereotype was that boys pack lightly," Leila grinned.
I glared at her, "Please sit on my suitcase."
She sighed loudly and went to sit on it. I tried to zip it. I groaned, "You're too light. Zoe! Come sit on Leila's lap!"
My sister jumped into Leila's lap and hugged her tightly. I managed to close it.
Mum bounded the stairs, "Zoe, did you pack your swimsuit?"
"Yes Mama," Zoe said proudly. Then her face fell, "Wait, maybe I didn't..."
Mum sighed and went to Zoe's suitcase. She began unpacking it to search that Zoe had everything necessary.
Leila sat on her suitcase which was half the size of me.
I narrowed my eyes at it, "Aren't you the supermodel?"
She grinned, "So I have smaller clothes packed."
I laughed and raised an eyebrow, "Not exactly a bad thing..."
"Castor!" Mum chided.
Leila blushed and looked down at her lap. I frowned as she squashed her legs together tightly. That couldn't be comfortable. What was she trying to do?
