☼Leila Perez☼
I combed through my blonde hair in the bathroom. Right after I'd closed the window on that jerk I'd gotten Lucy to buy me blinds. Right now I stood holding my clothes in the bathroom. I would usually change in my bedroom, but now I have a perverting idiot across from me. And I think at the right angle he could see through the blinds.
I pulled on some dark grey skinny jeans over my VS undies and then a large navy blue Vans top over my hot pink bra. I left my blonde hair loose but slid on a light grey beanie. I thought for a moment before adding the extra-large fake glasses with black rim -- it wasn't too hide. They were a fashion statement.
I stepped out of the bathroom and I heard a catcall, "Hey Nerd! Since when do you need glasses?"
I blushed and didn't respond. I couldn't have this jerk drawing everyone's attention to me. Brit would definitely notice who I am as soon as her eyes focused on me.
I gathered my books and put them in my bag. I slung it over my shoulder and left. It was harder to ignore Jerk because he looked like Sean O'Donnell, easily one of the hottest guys in the world.
I did a modelling shoot with Sean O'Donnell and Francisco Lachowski last year. They're babes!
Mum called from the kitchen, "Leila! Come down and meet someone."
I stepped away from the mini library we'd constructed over the years. I slowly came down the stairs and called, "Who is it?"
I reached the living room and raised an eyebrow.
Jerk grinned, "Hey Nerd!"
I frowned, "Hey Jerk."
He raised an eyebrow, "Jerk? Feisty."
I rolled my eyes and turned to Mum, "We've already met."
"We haven't," a tiny voice said. She stared up at me with wide eyes, "You're really pretty."
I blushed, "Th-thank you..." I'd gotten compliments before, but not whilst I was in my 'get-up'.
She held out a hand to me, "I'm Zoe Cruz and very glad to meet you."
"I'm Leila Perez."
"Perez," she hummed, "Is that Spanish?"
"Sí."
"I'm still learning," she blushed, "How'd you get your hair like that? You have really pretty eyes. Why do you wear such baggy clothing?"
I gulped. How to answer...? Mum rescued me, "She's very self-conscious. You probably made her day, Zoe."
A woman walked into the room, "Mrs Perez?"
"Oh, it's Ms Perez," Mum corrected automatically, "And I prefer to be called Tanya."
The ladies shook hands.
The woman smiled, "Hi Tanya. I'm Rachel. It's so great to be finally living next to someone normal. Our last neighbours were bikies. Very horrid."
"Eh, not too bad," Castor cut in.
"That's because they taught you how to ride a motorcycle," Zoe twisted her nose up.
I let out a small giggle at the girl.
Mum looked at the clock, "Oh! Leila, get going or you'll be late!"
And I can't be late. I needed to know my maths results.
"I'll walk with," Castor cut in. His bag was slung over his shoulder.
