*Ana's P.O.V*
It's been a few days and I'm wondering where everyone went off to. The mission I had only lasted a night, however, they've been gone for days. This morning, Nathan took it among himself to make me breakfast and it was awkward. He kept staring at me and looking around as if someone was watching him. We were sitting on the sofa, casually drinking some tea when the front door opened. Out spewed a tall guy with dark brown hair and sharp eyes. He had some tattoos scattered about dressed in nothing but a shirt and some pants.
" You must be new," he said, knowing who I clearly was. Nathan looked at me before looking at the man at the door. "And you are?" he asked addressing Nathan.
" I'm her boyfriend, I was just checking in," he stated with ease, letting it roll off of his tongue. The man walked over to both of us, not taking his eyes off of me. He flashed me a small smile before walking past us and over to the kitchen.
"Your boyfriend will need to leave before Dylan or Xander creates a meat sandwich out of him," he expressed. Nathan rolled his eyes before gulping down his warm tea and leaving.
"I'll see you soon and good luck!" He exclaimed, pecking me on the lips. The quick kiss sent me on a spiral of emotions, it was too unexpected.
Knowing that those same lips have been on my dead best friend greatly unnerved me. I couldn't let a little act break my character so I ignored it. Nathan grabbed his bag before making an exit, shooting me a smile before leaving. My focus then was set on the man in front of me, casually making himself a sandwich while chuckling.
"Do I look funny to you?" I snapped, growing annoyed at his amusement. "What's funny is how you two failed to pull that off," he smartly pointed out. I rolled my eyes before shrugging and taking my place back on the sofa. "I'm Alex," he suddenly said, taking his place next to me. He sat a distance from me and chowed down happily. We began having a conversation and I quickly began to laugh at his jokes.
"Did you know-"
He was cut off by the sound of the door opening. The outside world has finally decided to spit out the group that I believed had gone missing. Xander, Stacy, and Kimberly entered with a recognizable face trailing behind.
He looks awfully familiar, I thought.
He took my time staring at him before the memory snapped into my head. When I first arrived here, it was the main I punched in the face. He looked different without the bruise there, it has been a while. Xander's eyes locked with mine as Kimberly scoffed, taking notice. Xander looked awfully tired and drained. His once-bright blue eyes were dull as his dark hair sat messily at the top of his head. Alexander then took the chance to poke me on my side, making me jump and hit him.
"Glad you guys could get well acquainted," Xander said weirdly, glancing over at Alex.
Alex blew a kiss over to Xander, making Xander scoff. He waltzed over to the kitchen as Kimberly trailed behind him. "Move," Xander said, snapping at Alex. Alex moved over so that Xander could begin his quest on making coffee. Kimberly watched silently, eyeing Xander and Alex, waiting to be addressed.
"I missed you, Alex, it has been a while," Kimberly said loudly, trying to make Xander care. He quickly made his coffee. The smell trailed from the Kering, drowning the entire living room and kitchen with the aroma.
" When was the last time she's been out?" Alex asked, putting the spotlight on me.
"Fuck if I know," Xander spat coldly. The tension in this room could be cut with a knife along with Xander's bad attitude. Once the coffee got finished, he poured it into a large blue mug. Kimberly made her way over to Alex, standing beside him. Xander didn't budge, he only took his mug and walked away from the situation.
