*Kimberly's P.O.V*

"Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled!" My father yelled. He angrily loosened his tie and threw his briefcase onto the large glass table I sat at. It collided with the transparent surface with a loud thud, startling me. I tried my best to ignore his outburst, but his sharp tone rattled my young spirit.

"You can't make fun of lesser-fortunate kids!" He yelled, rubbing his sweaty forehead. Whenever the man got worked up, he would sweat as if he was in an oven. I sat there with my long brown hair, continuing to draw on my piece of paper.

"Are you even listening?" He asked, getting closer. He ripped the green crayon from my hand, throwing it across the dining room. "One day you will be older and this company will be yours. You need to learn to share but also have things for yourself," he voiced, with a sigh.

"You left me no choice-" he was suddenly cut off.

"No, they'll stink up the place! I don't care about them. I want to be a superstar model and keep our money to ourselves!" I yelled back at him, glaring.

"Don't be so selfish Kimberly," my father barked. "I will help them out and you will learn to share!" and with that, he brushed past me, and found his way the kitchen. My father would drink for hours after work. He would get angry, but he had never laid a finger on me. I hated him. I wanted our money to be for us and only us. I don't want to help them because they never offered to help us.

I could hear my mother's heels click down the hallway, her footsteps quickly approaching. "Mom, I don't want-"

"Listen to your father, dear," she said, wearing more makeup than usual. The foundation was caked onto her tan skin with her blonde hair falling past her cheeks. She wore bright red lipstick and a white button-down. Her pencil skirt had a slight slit in it as her bright green eyes looked dull.

"I don't want to help that fucking family!" I yelled, pushing my father's briefcase off of the table. My mother's smile dropped instantly, fire coming to her eyes. She quickly walked over to me, snatching me up by my brown locks and dragging me to the elevator. With her hand strangling my hair, she dragged me to the cold and darkroom at the end of the hall.

She pulled out a silver key and unlocked the small room and released me. "If you want to act superior and spoiled, you don't deserve a working mother and father. Enjoy your time thinking about this," she snapped before closing and locking it.

"Please, mom!" I yelled, pounding on the door. She didn't care at all. "I'll give you bread and water whenever I feel like it. Kimberly, you're special and that comes with responsibility!" she hissed before her footsteps faded.

I woke up to the smell of cigarettes and the sunlight burning my eyes. If I remember correctly, he always smokes first thing in the morning. My tangled brown hair sat on top of my head awkwardly. I was aware that I need time away from everyone, and everything. Adam was right- Xander never loved me. Someone from my class could never be with someone in his class, it's inhumane.

"I see you're awake, good," He said, passing me the cigarette. I shook my head before he chuckled, keeping cancer stick in his hand and eyeing me. He rose a dark eyebrow, waiting for me to take it before I rolled my eyes and took it. I shared a morning smoke with the supposed rapist of Analise Woods without a care in the world. He was of the right status to date, she took everything away from me. After I was finished, I stood up, collecting my clothes and beginning to put them on.

"Stay," Adam insisted, grabbing my arm. He looked at my naked body, eyeing it before pulling me into his arms.

"Did you really do it?" I asked, looking him in his cold blue eyes. He looked into mine, empty, and unforgiving.
