*Ana's P.O.V + towards midnight*

Me and Xander ate quietly at a local diner. He didn't once glance at me as he chewed the fries in his mouth.

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked breaking the silence. He lifted his head up and met my eyes.

"No, not at all. Anyway, I told you we couldn't trust him Analise" he said which made me press my lips into a thin line.

"Well, I thought I could since I knew him for this long!" I said throwing my arms into the air. I hate the fact that I was wrong but being wrong about one of my best childhood friends, it stung a lot. I swallowed the piece of lettuce I was chewing and sighed before a female with wavy blonde hair and green eyes burned holes through my chest.

"I didn't mean to upset yo-"

"It's fine okay now let's focus on something more relevant, yeah? We need to take down Adam and his puppets" I said pushing my food away as Xander had a flash of sadness in his eyes.

"That's true, however, what do you mean by 'takedown' ?" Xander asked as I rolled my eyes.

"Well I'm a bitter ex and I wouldn't mind seeing him buried six feet under," I said as he smirked.

"Oh really? And what exactly can you do little Ana?" he said mockingly.

"I'll show you when the time comes darling," I told him before his cheeks dusted light pink.

"Perhaps that's soon" he stated before I pulled out some money and placed it on the table, the female them got up and walked into the bathroom.

"I'm going to the bathroom," I said rolling my eyes before getting up and walking to the bathroom. I pushed open the hazel colored door and walked into the stall. I did my business before flushing the toilet and getting out of the stall. Standing there, was a tall female with wavy blonde hair and light green eyes. I went next to her and started washing my hands.

"You know Analise it's not safe being here," she said putting on her red lipstick. She then pushed her boobs up which made me raise an eyebrow.

"And why should I listen to a stranger that means nothing to me?" I smartly asked as she chuckled.

"Because Adam and his pets are searching for you. Also, you might want to hurry along right now before I shoot you right here" the girl said before reaching into her purse.

"GOTTA BLAST BITCH" I yelled running out of the bathroom. Xander looked at me with a puzzled expression before I grabbed his hand and pulled him along.

"What's wrong?" he asked confused.

"Some people here work for him," I said quietly before his eyes slightly widened in shock. We then jumped into the car and sped back to his grandfather's house. Once we arrived to our surprise the door was unlocked. We opened the door and walked in.

"Grandpa?" Xander yelled before the silence could be heard.

"I'll check down here while you check upstairs," Xander said growing worried. I then nodded before climbing the steps. I looked around in the individual rooms and came to a halt when I heard a soft whimper.

It was coming from the bathroom.

I found my way to the bathroom only to be frozen still by the scene before me. The old geezer was laying in a pool of blood with a long slit around his throat. He gargled spit before I broke out of my trance and ran over to him.

"XANDER UP HERE" I yelled before I heard footsteps pounding up the stairs.

"Grandpa?!" he yelled running over to me. His grandfather's skin was cold and pale as ice. Above him, in blood was written ' You started a war '.His grandpa used his remaining strength to grab Xander's hand. Soon the crimson liquid stained his hands as tears welled up in Xander's eyes. The man's breathing slowed down before his eyelids drooped.

"NO! NO! NO WAKE UP PLEASE!" Xander begged while shaking his grandpa violently. His cold and pale hand fell limp from Xander's. Tears rolled down his pale cheeks and dripped from his chin. He let go of his grandpa and pushed him violently to the side. He shot up and ran his dark hair.

"Analise...We're going to make that friend of yours pay" he said shakily.

"How are you so sure that it was Nathan?" I asked which caused him to grow angry.

"OPEN UP YOUR FUCKING EYES ANALISE HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON THAT WAS HERE WITH HIM!" He yelled at me as I felt a pang of hurt.

"I don't care, Analise, it's either you're with me or against me" he stated before looking me straight in the eye.

"I'm always with you but...-"

"I should have known!" he said throwing his arms up in the air before continuing.

"Goodbye Analise," he said walking out of the bathroom.
