Time itself had infuriated me. I wanted to make time stop just so I could have enough of it to finish this painful test.

Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick-

I needed to hurry up, I thought, feeling my palms grow sweaty. I was the last one remaining in this windowless hell of a room. The short and chubby instructor sat at her desk filled with boredom, her head was placed down on her desk. I stared at the question that mocked my existence and endless studying. I wanted to nervously tap my pencil on the desk to avoid answering it, however, I was aware that I'd get me nowhere.

11:25 am, the clock read. I have a flight to catch at 12:20 pm and I didn't want to miss it. A loud snore suddenly snapped me from my procrastination. Time toyed with my emotions, causing me to internally curse myself.

I stared

and I stared

and I stared, until...

"Got it!" I yelled loudly, breaking the instructor from her slumber. She looked around before setting her green eyes on me, glaring. "Are you finished Ms.Woods?" she asked with an attitude. I nodded my head before penciling in the last answer. She slowly walked over to me and took my test booklet, causing me to shoot up.

"You may lea-"

She was suddenly cut off by me bolting out the door and running through the hall, finding the nearest exit in the building. I crossed my fingers and prayed that I aced this huge exam for testing out, I will definitely value these extra months of relaxation before college. Thankfully, this test had to be taken at my school. I found an exit and bolted out of the door, speeding to my place of residence. I unlocked the door and entered, only to be met with everyone's annoyed faces. Kimberly sucked her teeth before letting out a sigh, "Took you long enough," she said with an attitude. Xander avoided eye contact with me while Dylan flashed me a sad smile. In the sea of people, I could see Natham standing there awkwardly. Everyone's luggage was light except Kimberly's. I cut through the crowd, trying to make it to my room until Nathan grabbed me, pulling me into a tight hug. He gave me a small peck on the cheek before letting me go up to my room.

"Fuck where is it?" I said out loud, filled with confusion. I quickly turned around to the sound of low chuckling, only to be met with Dylan's amused face. "You mean this?" he asks, holding up a navy duffle bag. I rolled my eyes at him before snatching it and following him back down.

"We need to go now!" Stacy yelled, causing everyone to groan. By the time Dylan and I reached the living room, they were already loading up the car.

"It'd be cool if some of you could help pitch in with the parking," Xander said, raising his voice a bit. I patted my pockets, remembering that I haven't had any money for quite some time.

"Broke?" Kimberly asked, with a smirk plastered onto her face. I scoffed before nodding.

"Her financial means should not concern you," Xander stated coldly. Kimberly instantly shut her trap before scoffing and entering the car.

Dylan took my bag out of my hand before placing it into the trunk of the car. He then pulled open the door and gestured for me to enter.

Why was he being so nice?

Kimberly climbed into the passenger side while Stacy, Dylan, and I climbed in the back.

"I can't wait to see Stephan, it's been a really long time. Don't you think babe?" Kimberly asked, causing Xander to respond dully with a nod.
