Chapter 14: Taylor's Reaction

Chapter 14:

Taylor was in complete shock. This wasn't what she was expecting.

Steffy was dating Carter Walton?? That simply didn't make any sense to Taylor.

Sure, Taylor knew that Steffy had dated Carter's brother Marcus before Rick & Liam each came along, but she had always felt that Liam was the one for her daughter despite Steffy's assertations later on that they were never meant to be together in the first place.

Now here was Taylor hearing from Thomas that Steffy was with Carter, a man Taylor barely knew. All she knew about was that he was Marcus's brother as well as a lawyer who worked at Forrester Creations.

Still, Taylor knew that Steffy deserved to be happy & to be in love. Finding it with the brother of an ex-boyfriend wasn't what she had in mind.

"You don't approve, do you, Mom?" asked Thomas who had noticed the disapproving look on her face. Taylor just sighed.

"It's just that......" she began to say when Thomas cut her off with, "You had hoped that she would be with Liam again, right?" Taylor just nodded.

"Well, Mom, that time has come & gone. Steffy has moved on, & she's happy. Be happy for her," said Thomas. "I am happy for her, but answer me this, son. What does your father think of this?" asked Taylor.

Thomas looked his mother straight in the eye & gave her the answer. "He is happy for Steffy. He likes Carter," he said. Taylor just nodded.

She still didn't like it, & she knew that she had to talk to Ridge about it.

When she left Thomas's office & headed over to Ridge's, Taylor was reeling. Hearing about Steffy's new relationship was a shocker to her. She had no idea what to think.

When she reached her ex-husband's office, Taylor felt nervous.

However, she wasn't prepared for what was next.

Just as she was abot to open the door, she got the shock of her life.

Taylor saw Carter & Steffy, & they were kissing!
