Love Never Felt So Good

Chapter 16: Steffy sees Liam

Chapter 16:
After her confrontation with her mother, Steffy was heading over to Carter's office to tell him all about it when she saw someone she didn't want to see.

That person was Liam.

From the moment they made eye contact, Steffy felt very uncomfortable. She didn't want to stop, but she felt she had to.

As for Liam, seeing Steffy was like a dream. She was still very beautiful & still made his heart flutter. However, he knew that things were different.

Steffy was now with Carter, & Liam was still dealing with the aftermath of Hope leaving him at the alter.

Both stopped right in front of each other in front of Rick's office. Teh tension became very thick very fast.

"How are you, Steffy?" asked Liam. "I'm good. How about you, Liam?" asked Steffy. "Hanging in there. I would like to know why Hope left me like she did," said Liam sadly. Steffy just sighed.

She knew that deep down she & Hope were both better off without Liam in their lives. Sure, he would always have a special place in each of their hearts, but he was simply the wrong guy for both of them. They deserved better.

Steffy had already found who she felt was the one for her in Carter, & she hoped that Hope would find that special someone for her as well.

"Taking care of business here, Liam?" asked Steffy. "Yeah. I had to talk to Ally about a project she's doing for Forrester Creations," said Liam. "Really? Is Eye on Fashion going to report on this?" asked Steffy who remembered Ally talking to her about doing an accesssories line. Liam simply nodded.

However, Steffy began to get the feeling that there was more to this then meets the eye. She wasn't sure what it was, but she knew that she was going to find out about somehow.

That was something that she wasn't looking forward to.

"Well, it was good seeing you again, Steffy," said Liam. Steffy just smiled at him, nodded, & quickly went on her way to Carter's office.

As soon as she got there, Steffy went right into Carter's arms. After seeing Liam & chatting with him, she wanted to feel safe in the arms of the man she loved.

"How did it go with your mom, Steff?" asked Carter. "She's mad, but I think she'll come around," said Steffy. "I hope she does too," said Carter. "I know, I told her that we love each other, & that was what was important," said Steffy. Carter smiled.

Then it got serious.

Steffy told Carter about bumping into Liam. He was curious.

"Did he try to put the moves on you, Steff?" asked Carter. "He wishes he did. It just felt really awkward between us," said Steffy. "Well, how long has it been since you last saw him?" asked Carter. "Eight months. Before that, a year," said Steffy. "That was before Hope had returned from MIlan, right?" asked Carter. Steffy nodded.

Sensing her discomfort over Liam, Carter took Steffy in his arms again & held her close. He knew how she felt.

As he whispered to her, "I love you," Carter had a feeling that something major was going to happen.

He didn't like that feeling at all.
